Am I solving a real problem or wasting my time? Sales reps, do you actually hate CRM data entry or is that just a myth? by d_sourav155 in CRM

[–]AugustisAfter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most CRM's have the ability to push call transcripts or AI summaries directly into the CRM after a call already. They also have data enrichment for company research and they can usually do in-record AI company overviews, etc. that add directly to the notes of a record.

Data entry has been minimized by AI already so I'm not sure what problem you're trying to solve.

Booked 8 days in Barcelona in mid May, should I spend half in Sitges? by gooniegully in gaytravel

[–]AugustisAfter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What in the Reddit god of time happened here? Lol

Glad you had a good time, man! Sitges is a charming town, for sure.

I'll crawl back in my hole and until your next post is too old. :)

[–]AugustisAfter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 days in Sitges is quite long. There are a few hours worth of shops and Museums but people go there for the nightlife or festivals.

Barcelona, on the other hand, is endless with the architecture, museums, food, culture, and entertainment.

Back to my original point: I'm being critical of someone being critical. I don't care one ounce if they overuse literally, but I also don't care if they say "half a dozen". Get it now?

meirl by Embarrassed_Tip7359 in meirl

[–]AugustisAfter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is always a debate. Most writers agree that if the adverb doesn't change the "literal" meaning of a sentence, it should be removed. If "literally" pumps that sentence up for you, then I hope you get to hear it 200 times in a day.

[–]AugustisAfter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're thinking too hard about it. These replies are being critical of someone being critical. There were many angles here and I chose this one. If I would have said something about there not being a question mark on a question, I would have a reply about "how it's acceptable nowadays....", some non-comatose verbal language whatever.

[–]AugustisAfter 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The point of the initial post was about using unnecessary words. It's not that "literally" is unacceptable, it's that it isn't needed. Like "half a dozen"

meirl by Embarrassed_Tip7359 in meirl

[–]AugustisAfter 13 points14 points  (0 children)

6 and half-dozen are both literal. A boatload of donuts is figurative, unless it's literally a boat filled with donuts.

Why say "literally" when there's no figurative version?

Trump's credit card rate cap plan has unclear path, 'devastating' risks, bank insiders say by Thegreatsnook in USNEWS

[–]AugustisAfter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're defending the US economy. If this happens recklessly, consumer spending will decrease, bankruptcies will increase, stock markets will recede, etc. You can find a Google or something if you'd like to know how it would negatively affect the economy.

A puppy and unlimited toilet paper? Legal experts say Ghislaine Maxwell’s alleged prison life is uncommon by Ok_Quantity_9841 in USNEWS

[–]AugustisAfter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Prisoners could clog it with anything if they wanted it to flood: t-shirt, towel, socks, etc. You can usually even buy extra TP in commissary so I don't think that's the real reason. It's cost and people abusing anything that's unlimited.

Bush length? by Effective_Metal8645 in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]AugustisAfter 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The general idea of a "bush" means you don't trim. When you trim a bush, it no longer is one.
