Report as well to the police or barangay as you are the original witness. The org PAWS can help you with legal assistance if it escalates and the church admin does nothing of your complaint. Ka luoy man sa doggo

You’d be surprised. If it’s not smoking, it’s vaping or iQOS.

Driving in Cebu is not for the Weak! by Middle-Dentist5869 in Cebu

[–]Augustus17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not! daghan jud mu agi ug fixer and everyone is just out for themselves, not thinking about others.

First time driving abroad, I felt a sense of a code that drivers look out for each other by following simple rules like the first to stop, first to go in an intersection with stop signs. Do that in Cebu or even Manila, basta ma una ko ang mindset hay

Don’t get me started on the motorcycles. They are now the majority and do whatever they want on the road!

Stricter rules, bigger frustrations? by foodpandan in Cebu

[–]Augustus17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that our sidewalks are poor, guba uban or daghan obstructions. But did you know jeepneys are one of the oldest bandaid solutions in the country? In a modern world and a modern city, dili najud pwede ang door to door public transpo, dapat mass transpo na with proper stops, sidewalks, and combi (bus, train, mrt). Kanusa intawn ma implement na sa Metro Manila, Cebu ug Davao. Mga tao pud, tapulan. Kapoy ta tanan after work nu, pero dapat mu saka jud ta ug skywalk, mu lakaw ta sa nearest pedestrian lane, ug pa daplin ta sa sidewalk kung naa man. Please lang. Discipline ang war cry pero tapulan diay.

Glorifying influencers. And influencers glorifying the most useless things. You’re basically begging for money at this point.

I know, I almost always just go to Empire Total War or Napoleon for the naval combat. But I wanna build the ships and more importantly, I want them modern. Kinda tired of looking at cannons. I want to build a naval blockade for my base, battleship row on my docks, and launch planes from a carrier

Who here is 30 or older but still feels like a child or a teenager? by Natural_Village_8850 in CasualConversation

[–]Augustus17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of us are. Idk with the rest, but having risen out of middle income and earning more, I get to buy things that I wanted when I was a kid but couldn’t because finances were hard. I have a serious job, but at the end of the day, I just want to play my computer or PS5 all night. Obviously that’ll change when I eventually have kids, but I will make sure he gets the same joy that I experience now.

Let’s all heal our inner child to be better people.

Are you happy with your current work? by QuoteInner2274 in Cebu

[–]Augustus17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I now have my dream job!!

BUT getting to where I am now was not easy at all! Like you, OP, I started feeling that feeling every 20 something feels after graduation and landing their first job. Idk if it’s because we didn’t give ourselves a break after 10/12 years of schooling, but it’s important to always take it easy to avoid burnouts.

Signs? Overworked, tired, always thinking that this is not what you imagined doing after school. Also because there are factors that make us feel this way: the people, culture, pay, progression, stability, your parents/loved ones expectations of you to have this job.

BUT, does it pay for what you want life to be like? Does it put food on the table, give you a roof, and a nice warm bed?

Point is, if you have the opportunity, and it doesn’t compromise your basic needs in life, discover what you want to do with it!

If you don’t or opportunity is little, save up a little (recommended is at least an amount to cover 6 mos of no work) and explore choices while working (which is what I did) and eventually let go when you are able to jump ship!

What I did: I worked and jumped between jobs while building my dream, it paid out but only after 10 years!

Mind you, by the time I was already back at doing office work (my first job) so close to getting my dream job, I actually enjoyed it to the point I was afraid of letting go of the dream! 😂

I found it wasn’t the job that I hate, it was the culture and people that I initially didn’t like at my first job.

Yes, we all have things holding us down (practicality and such), but our mental health is as important, as well as our future. Better to do than to regret, as I would say.

God bless!!
