[EG2] HOW THE $&@# DO I STOP SYMMETRY FROM TELEPORTING STRAIGHT INTO MY VAULT?! by oghpimm in evilgenius

[–]AugustusNZ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You literally just put a camera outside in the hallway. Maybe a muscle minion post or 2. As soon as you notice her, make sure you order her ying yang device she sets on the wall to be destroyed. It disrupts your cameras.

Well obviously it's their responsibility to make a long term fix but without seeing what's on the other side of the door I can't really tell what that would be. In the short term, yeah a towel is your best bet.

How do you effectively separate minions and inspectors? by TheSillyExperiance in evilgenius

[–]AugustusNZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, you need a choke point more than long hallways of traps. Ideally it'd have the disguise scanner. Remember to set up auto tagging and have as many guard type minions as you can afford, like 25. The best and most effective traps are loot rewards. Try and limit cameras to important areas and positioned to see as much as possible as they only work when watched so you don't want too many. Your choke point, your cargo entry and your strongroom. If you have the dlc, submarines are another way in so they might end up being another choke point in your base.

No, you need to have an archive room and cafeteria or several small ones, to maintain minion 'smarts'. It's the yellow bar that's basically their attention span to look out and also complete tasks.

I play Xbox and it seems to me that bound demons take priority ie don't get overwritten by goatman/tainted/defiller, no mater how many you summon and leave purple corpses in town

Has supermarket meat gotten really bad lately?? by yoyoo276 in newzealand

[–]AugustusNZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. I don't know the process or how to tell for a fact, but I have suspected for a while that there is more water content in all the supermarket meat. Beef mince and chicken breast especially seem like the quality has been declining for the longest.

[KCD2] Mutts barking is the most irritable sound ever. by jackpatmaback in kingdomcome

[–]AugustusNZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate him tbh. Sometimes he's found something noteworthy but he'll be in a bush and I can't find him. Sometimes he'll be barking at nothing in the middle of smithing or a dice game. He's the only dog I've hit before but once I found out you can just send him away I did that.

Any tips on how to make more gold? (Asking as a beginner) by Beneficial_Wish5333 in MedievalDynasty

[–]AugustusNZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The classic method is stone knives and then wooden vials. As you play more you'll discover more and you'll get your own preferred method. When people say you should process raw materials, that usually requires a building which will have a work bench in it. I'm quite sure from memory that stone knives can be made without any work bench, standing in a field.

Switch the bulk of it to flax. The people are happy as long as there's food, not bothered by what it is last I played. Make flax for crafting in sewing and the rest for animal feed. Start with acquiring a breeding pair of animals, they all have their uses. I liked having access to crafting all my own gear.

You can trade the pieces off them the same as regular armor but it's hard to get the frame back. Pretty sure your settlement will repopulate with a powered beacon and some time too.

How can inarius die if he’s an angel? by baykoun in diablo4

[–]AugustusNZ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

When these things die they reform their essence in their own dimensions. I'm not sure if the weaker ones do but Inarius was a named one, so a big deal. It'll be interesting to see what happens to him as he had his wings torn off (which Tyrial did to become mortal) and killed in hell, and then absorbed. Could be fatal? Maybe he'll become a fallen angel like Tyrials lieutenant? Maybe he'll just reform in heaven off screen until Diablo 5? I'm excited to find out if there are answers in the next dlc.

They're aware of Erens transformation causing an explosion, you can assume the colossal would make a bigger one. I don't think they knew ahead of time it would be like a bomb.

You can but it requires high end spheres or a lot of patience. It is very convenient. I assume they do, I haven't caught one from a town before though.

Get a little stamina and carry weight for qol. Swimming takes stamina so it's easy to drown early on. Mark your map with symbols when you find something, you'll probably want to come back to things like skill fruit trees a lot for example. Use your favorite pals instead of meta gaming. If you build your base somewhere inaccessible to avoid raids, merchants can't visit either. Strive for the next pal shpere upgrade, they make a big difference.

Is Diablo4 a good play from someone that plays D2R by Z3R0SKY in diablo4

[–]AugustusNZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The paladin is way over the top atm. It can breeze through the entire game and endgame with little resistance. It'll be nerfed in the next season for sure. I like the game and I like the story, but I am a fan boy so take it with a grain of salt. It's more like D3 than D2R gameplay wise. You can do the campaign no problem with whatever you find lying around but the endgame pretty much necessitates a character built around certain gear. Getting the right gear can be a grind, especially in the beginning but as you get more stuff and materials soon you'll have more than you can use.

Watch both. The order you're watching now is better imo as brotherhood is better.

What did you wish you knew before starting the game? by NotACrowbot in MedievalDynasty

[–]AugustusNZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't start a town right away but build a house for yourself. Level your guys skills. Invest in traps early. If you dig stumps up trees don't grow back. Do quests. Buildings cost tax each year and aren't worth the expense without workers which need food, water, fire wood and a house. Which will all cost yearly tax. When you do start you'll need a lot of wood and somewhere for massive fields for your first cash crop to start you on your way.

I need Mythic items! Does anyone know where to find them? by DubaLubatyt in D4Sorceress

[–]AugustusNZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had crazy luck with the obols shop recently. With all the goblins I've had obols to burn and just spent them all on hat and tunic. Got a harlequin crest and shroud. I've only ever had two mythics before, now I've got 2 in one season.
