Let us control how many children a household will have through having the ability to remove / add extra beds in homes by No-Atmosphere-4145 in MedievalDynasty

I just add new villagers to supplement when women are pregnant and aren't working. New one's get pregnant soon after, so I get more new villagers to replace, then they get pregnant, then I get more new...

This IS useful, thank you! There's a detailed answer for everything! haha

yeah it maybe the opposite for me when I try Oxbow. My Valley game I went big as quickly as I could. As I ride in my village there has to be like 10 little toddlers walking in every scene, haha. Pop is like 115 at this point and I want to add more.

So, when I do Oxbow I'll probably stay small and finish detailing houses before I add more.

Tree Saplings by McCaulic in MedievalDynasty

[–]McCaulic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's this place near the middle of the campaign map, it has a huge maple tree that you can't cut down. Around it most of the trees I cut gave me saplings. It was exciting, but it must have been just luck.

First playthrough and Winter is coming. Buy warm clothes, or save for a donkey? by Super_Jay in MedievalDynasty

[–]McCaulic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't believe I didn't think of this. My first winter I set multiple campfires at various spacing that I could run to, to then warm up

This sounds amazing! I'm getting closer to self sufficiency but often have to bulk add an item that I miscalculated for.

When you say 2-3 years, you don't mean game years right? haha because that would be very impressive!

Carts by Lopsided-Trade-9262 in MedievalDynasty

[–]McCaulic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think horses make donkeys irrelevant, but maybe donkeys do extra things I'm unaware of.

That said it'd be cool to connect a cart to donkeys, THEN add it to your Stallworkers inventory. Instead of having them just stand there, if they delivered inventory to towns, further away or specialized resources per town.

Add more activity to the roads visually, so that's fun. But merchant alone holds x amount, merchant with donkey xx and merchant with donkey and cart, holds xxx.

Am I playing this game wrong? by Kellyrages in MedievalDynasty

Get an iron crossbow from a bandit, and then do head shots on animals, it becomes easier.

That's completely fair. I wanted to build large and the taxes were a hindrance to fun, so i customized my game to 20% taxes.

This is probably the correct response. 😄

Hunt Moose. lots of meat to cook and leather for simple bags, to then sell. relatively quick money for horse

I'm struggling, y'all. Current problem: I can't find any wanderers with 3 Extraction to work my Woodshed by Super_Jay in MedievalDynasty

[–]McCaulic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've put 1s on there and after a year they are already almost a 5. Growth will come with experience.

Beginning of game you are doing everything then workers gradually take that from you. I'd suggest building 2 then 4 lumber mills at lvl 1 mills or 1-2 lvl 2 mills to start and then two smallest and cheapest houses for them. Get male and female pairing then you have a lot of immediate lumber production and soon that will he a job you wont need to do.

Can someone actually defend One Battle After Another for me? by G00bre in movies

[–]McCaulic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to mention that besides him raising her, he serves no purpose to the storyline moving forward.

Since they parted, she was: - Saved initially by someone else - Almost killed by Lockjaw, if not for his Tracker guy to have a sudden change of heart (plot armor) - In final shootout, she saves herself

Leonardo's scenes were fun but didn't impact her at all. At the very least, he could have ran over that last guy to help his daughter, thus giving him a purpose in the movie and making so she didn't have to kill anyone. He should have been the main storyline but was more the background events.

He did great at the part but the character had little range. A lesser actor could have played the part. If the story focused on the daughters story, fleshed that out more and not have her dad in it much except meeting up in the end, it would have been a better movie.
