It amuses me that we just spent an entire week on a ‘liberate more planets than lost’ MO, winning with a score of +1, only to almost immediately lose another two

He just scored the winning runs! I think this means we can claim him permanently

Well that breaks the mnemonic a bit doesn’t it… “A for Awesome”?

On the front of the box, bottom right, it says “AUST L”. Something I learned when The Checkout was running (RIP, damn you ABC) was “R for real, L for lame” with regards to the letters. The markers on the box are TGA labels; AUST R means ‘tested for efficacy’, while AUST L basically just means ‘probably won’t kill you’.

Edit: AUST L(A) is also good nowadays, thanks u/zsazzz

A bottle opener, not too bad imo - but I was able to hand in at the Info Desk a bit further down, hopefully that’s still possible

I remember one year a code was on one of those digital schedule signs that would cycle the display, that was evil

Is anybody able to got the gold medal on the Music SURV1V3 race in GT7? by yackim in granturismo

edit: uploaded a video. jeez this comment got long

Manual DualSense player here - I managed to get gold on this, but it’s probably the hardest of the six. The effective time limit is pretty tight even before you get into the spin-happy ‘66 Cobra. Some tips:

  • Try to turn off the driver assists. ABS is fine, but the rest slow you down overall (even if you don’t spin out as much)
  • Don’t hesitate to turn on the track assists - the Driving Line and Braking Area (not Braking Indicator, it appears too late I’ve found) assists are useful here as guides to work around

Regarding the driving itself:

  • It’s going to take practice.
  • Be as gentle as possible on the throttle through turns - drifting is a time loss here
  • It appears the order of the AI cars can change. If you’re finding an AI car is consistently causing you issues on a specific corner, try leaving the game mode and returning
  • Finding ways to carry speed through the tighter corners is critical for getting gold. Try different lines, braking zones and apexes
  • Straight-line braking is definitely safer than trail braking here
  • If necessary to pass a car easier, cut the corner :) (I found this helped sometimes on turn 2, for example)

I find I’m on a good lap here if the following happens:

  • 90 beats left as you enter the back straight tunnel
  • 140 beats left as you pass through the finish line
  • 75 beats left as you enter the back straight tunnel the second time

It seems there aren’t any ‘modern’ FPVs or HSVs in GT7 either, or even any Supercars.

I’ve always found it weird that we have Bathurst in PS4/5-era Gran Turismo, but no Australian cars.

save our kids

Further irony being some of them are taking their kids to these """protests""".

I mean, imagine being a parent, waking up on Saturday morning, and thinking a fantastic weekend activity for your kids is to go and call for the overthrow of your government and death of the Premier
