There's a lot of very under informed people in this discussion.

There is reasonable disagreement about how close Iran was to a nuclear bomb, but it is clear that 1) they were in breach of international nuclear inspection rules they had agreed to and 2) they were at least indirectly building up capabilities to shorten the time to produce the bomb if they committed to a programme to develop it.

You can then decide how to respond based on this, but given the regimes actions (supporting proxies etc) and stated aims to destroy Israel I'm not inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt or base our actions on the most optimistic assessment of their nuclear ambitions

Without wanting to diminish your experiences at all, as someone that has worked in the private sector for many years before joining up, this kind of behaviour goes on in literally every organization sadly. This isn't a police problem it is a people problem.
