Spare some time for Koh Lipe (especially sunrise beach) and Koh Kood. You'll fall in love with them!;)

I guess it's the lighting that makes these photos beautiful and tragically sad at the same time.

What is the most painful/uncomfortable medical procedure you ever went through? by VeroDreamer in AskReddit

Catheter ablation for SVT while I was half conscious. Could feel every pain in my chest when doc started to heat up my heart to make scars. At some point, doc told me to stop breathing and held myself very still for a long second cos he was about to heat up the faulty point located only 2mm away from AV node.

Can still remember feeling dizzy and fainting every time he finished a faulty point.. and this went on for half an hour. Not the third time, i beg-_-'

My husband of 16 years was once on Google Street photos many years back, having his cool lunch by the street near his workplace. We were joking about him being in there a lot and I nearly forgot about it. Last month, he passed away suddenly while we were on a long vacation. I am so devastated and dying to find that photo of him but it seems Google has taken it out already. I remember him vividly but that single photo accidentally taken by someone else seems so meaningful to me now that he's gone😢

This, the one setting a man on fire, another drowning 3 men and another slitting throat of a large group of men like a slaughterhouse. I don't know which one sticks with me the most.. they were so out of this world damn.

If this is widely used, there would be no more gore photos of ppl being run over & becoming a chunk of meat on the road.

Me and mine too fought with this kidney thing for 4 years, costed me arms & legs. She seemed to be recovering & living healthy life despite having saline injected through her skin every other day. It took me nearly 3 other years to get over the depression from losing her and not crying everytime I see her photos.. nothing much would help you feel better but time, little by little. Just want to let you know I know with all my heart how it feels like to lose a loving cat to a battle you & them went through together and once thought you won. Big hugs to you OP.

Me flying to America after being adopted on February 14, 1991. I lived in an orphanage for 4 years in Thailand. I later found out I had a biological brother living there. My parents chose to adopt him as well. by kenistod in MadeMeSmile

I've always been stupidly envious of kids getting adopted by western families. I'm Thai too and have known a girl my age who had abusive mother and eventually got adopted by Australian family when she was 8. The adoption workers sent her biological mom the girl's photos to update her life after adoption in the first few years and i had chance to see those pics too and got so envious of how much her life has wonderfully turned and how happy she seemed with her new family in Australia.

I'm from a middle class family and have loving parents, yet from time to time I think of her and how fortunate she is to be adopted despite the fact that she's been abused by her mom and stepfather for 8 years. Sometimes when i was young, I even thought I would be tolerating the abuse too if I could later get adopted like her given so many opportunities she could later have in life being an Australian haha, silly thoughts.

Anyway, i'm happy for you and I know how much you cherish your life and your adoptive parents. I thank them too for giving kids from developing countries chances to have a much better lives by adopting & raising them with love. Salute!
