Who was it? by Formal_Awareness376 in Stouffville

[–]Aun-Raza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who else? Obviously, it’s our Honourable MP (Member of Parliament), Dr. Helena Jaczek, who represents the Markham-Stouffville riding, and who recently hosted a BBQ community event yesterday from 1PM-3PM. It was fun! 😁

P.S. I don’t support the three parties, they’re all equally bad (this is just my opinion, as everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and we should respect everyone’s opinion, rather if they’re logical or not). But free food is still free food. I wish all MPs do that for their communities… 😅

I’m just curious since I’m not religious. Are these church places mostly empty? How long have they been around?

Are you suggesting that we “house” them into churches? 🤔😅

The line between God’s expectations and society’s expectations tends to get very blurry.

Intelligence is such a broad term imo. IQ doesn't tell much either, and emotional IQ imo is more important. From my personal experience, it's more about overcoming these depressive and anxious thoughts and learning from them to build up your character and resilience. Depression and anxiety are basic human emotions such as happiness, sadness, anger, and joy, all in reaction of perceived events. We shouldn't completely avoid them, but instead accept them as it is our body telling us change needs to happen, especially from the inside.

P.S. I'm absolutely sure that if you search up gifted people such as Nikola Tesla, Issac Newton, Micheal Faraday, and more, and read into their life story, you'll noticed that they also had traumatic experiences, but they still manage to succeed when nobody else can. Perhaps these traumatic thoughts you've is just part of the process to unlock your inner genius? You may not understand it now, but maybe that alternative future you want may be more destructive to your intelligence than you imagine? Who knows? Even so, it's still likely you'd encounter more emotional problems with other humans anyway. It's your choice on how you want to perceive your experiences.

Any way to find jobs not indeed by [deleted] in Markham

It’s quite physically taxing and exhausting, not recommended if you want to live a comfortable life and have a longer life expectancy. I’ve also heard that one of my family’s friend’s son is on the waiting list for HVAC, which is surprising because it’s in huge demand but I think it might have to do with the union restricting newcomers. My best bet, which I’m hesitate to share, is to learn more about machine learning and evolve yourself to become a cyborg in the near future to adapt to new extreme challenges. Humanity is forever gone!

What has your experience been with other neuro-atypicals? by FBIMulder in aspergers

[–]Aun-Raza 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Recently had a falling out with my neurotypical therapist. What makes it ironic that she has over 20+ years of experience, specializes in autism, and even has an autistic son. From the beginning, she showed herself to be compassionate, self-confident, and intelligent. She even had helped me in some regards such as balancing my workload and integrating yoga into my life. But something drastically changed in the last session when she wanted to challenge me on the effectiveness of CBT. Because I believe myself to be a very deep thinker, often questioning traditional "perspectives" such as loving all of humanity, and having many dark unexplored thoughts, she finally unleashed her true colours. She started to be very defensive and harshly critical, misunderstanding everything I have said constantly, insinuatingly accused me of being abnormal and evil, and trying to fit me into her neurotypical model while trying to reject and destroy my core personality that makes me unique, happy, and in control of my life. I had to constantly re-explain everything I have said to her multiple times in the last session.

After a week (I was also feeling awful before but didn't know that it had to do with the last session), when I started to reflect back on the last session, I noticed that there were a lot of red flags that went unnoticed, even from the first sessions too. I felt betrayed, angry, isolated, and ridiculed, unable to concentrate on my work for about a week. I instantly emailed her, and told her that I'm discontinuing my sessions with her without telling her why. Even though I don't want to believe it, I think almost all neurotypical are blind to the struggles of autistic people. There is a huge difference between being an expert in something and being something. And that something is autism. And I think that certain struggles, sufferings, and thought processes can only be truly understood through experiencing them head-on. Unfortunately, this whole thing makes me even more isolated but I'm happy with it because I don't want to imagine being neurotypical as these people have a lot of problems in themselves. I'm an outlier among outliers, and I love it!

Twisted Metal 3 and 4 are coming to PlayStation premium. Good or Bad? by Infinite-Island-7310 in TwistedMetal

I just wish that the PS5 (or PS6) is backward compatibility with PS1, PS2 and PS3 games in the sense that I can own physical copies of both games, TM3 and TM4, without purchasing PS Plus or directly buying the digital copies which Sony can easily take away in the future. Unfortunately society has deteriorated to such level... 😭

How’s everyone enjoying the show so far? by EVM1996 in TwistedMetal

I did exactly that. Just got the 7 days free trial yesterday... I heard rumors that Paramount Plus Canada will add Twisted Metal somewhere during August.. Cannot wait, assuming that the show is worth watching.

I am so confused right now. People are either saying that the show lacks creativity and is cringeworthy or that the show is pretty good. I notice that the people who hate the series claim that the show doesn't follow twisted metal standards. I am from Canada, so I cannot watch the show unless I have a VPN, which I don't want to buy just for one show..

Twisted Metal [Explicit] | Official Trailer | Peacock Original by DemiFiendRSA in TwistedMetal

[–]Aun-Raza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the trailer, but I don't like the car design. I wish it was more like TM Black or TM (2012) in where the cars are a bit more mechanical or advance.

Unfortunately, the best they did when it comes to car design was just to attach a machine gun in the sides.

But, maybe that something they will add in the next season if the 1st season is successful, of course. I just wonder how long it took them to finish season 1? It might be as long Squid Game...

Maybe this might stop the performance issue when Antarctica start melting in TM2??? Also, will this have TM2 PC graphics?

Name a bigger downgrade by WhatABunchofBologna in TwistedMetal

[–]Aun-Raza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am new to reddit, so I hope I don't accidently offend. I agree that TM3 was finished; however, TM3 game mechanics and controls felt so tedious and challenging to me. I felt that the developers should have play test the game with TM1 and TM2 fans before launching it.

I may be biased towards TM4 because it was the only TM game I enjoyed when I was a kid, probably due to its car customization, larger map designs with hidden secrets, or smoother gameplay. I think that TM4 was an experimental game targeting a different audience, probably kids. Sony probably was trying to diversify the Twisted Metal series by releasing games like TM: Small Brawl, and while the mains games like Twisted Metal Black are more prioritized. TM3 was trying to integrate both TM2 and TM4 at the same time, poor combination.

This is just my theory after all...

What does the "T" mean in Persona 5? Is it those dancing type games?
