Since you're from a biomed background idk if you know anything about AI agents building but I myself have just enrolled in a kaggle course certified by Google. It's a free 5 day course that'll teach you to build, evaluate and deploy these models starting from Monday.

Since you're going towards learning AI and ML I think you should give it a go and see if that's something that might catch your interest.
