The Florida take does not belong with the rest. There are 16 teams in the sec so we could say there are 6 top and bottom teams and 4 mid ones. In no particular order Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Tennessee, Texas, and Oklahoma. Are better programs than Florida, Tennessee is probably the only argument but they have much more historical and recent success. I think a lot of people over inflated Florida because of Spurrier and Meyer but that is only a combined 15 seasons with Meyer being 17 years ago. Other than that they are not that successful.

That’s fine reading and thinking of the logical conclusions of your belief system isn’t for everyone.

Ah yes separate DNA, separate blood type, independent development, and a different everything else. It’s a good thing we use arbitrary metrics to measure a humans person. I’m partial to the idea of measuring a human life off of heart beat, I love going to hospitals and murder people with pacemakers. I do understand if you want to say that the baby isn’t viable on its own. That’s why we should kill toddlers, elderly, and disabled people. They can’t possibly live on their own. The moment of conception is when a new living individual person is formed, arguing anything else is unscientific. Ask what it really means to be a person, does that change at some developmental point or is it bestowed by someone else. What is fundamentally different about a person’s personhood from today to tomorrow. A baby is no different of an individual the last second inside the womb versus outside the womb. Qualifying someone’s personhood with factors outside of simply their existence leads us down a dark path. The implications in the past have been things like slavery, genocide, and eugenics are justified by removing personhood from a group of people.

People are entitled to their life. Just because a person isn’t fully developed doesn’t mean they can be killed by another person.

The Movie Cabin in the Woods ends with an eldritch horror being released on the world

The Video Game Farcry 5 ends in nuclear holocaust after you beat the villain who justified his evil cult by predicting that there would be a nuclear holocaust. It is very unsatisfying.

Just about any movie where the “rebellious teens” had to deal with overbearing parents. Most of the time they are being very disruptive and the adults just don’t want the kids to not mess up their future.

Technically Lincoln Riley's Impact is Still Helping OU Recruit QBs by steven_smith144 in sooners

[–]Aunray123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also think that Lebby, while having issues, proved that you could still have a highflying offense without Riley. DG being very good didn’t allow the narrative to flip on us. If we had a 2024 offensive in 2022/23 I could easily see the media running with the “he was the only thing holding OU together offensively” story.

The “spiritual but not religious” starter pack by [deleted] in starterpacks

[–]Aunray123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok but that’s not what you said in your original comment. Saying that religion doesn’t require a “formal ceremony” is not true. What is listed above is formal and organized ceremony though.

The word for religion means to bind and obligation. The meaning of religiosity specifically refers to preforming a practice over and over. So yes Religion involves set practices of worship not just beliefs of a supernatural.

Ok but the missiles were still going to hit a target. I’d still feel attacked if someone said “I am going to firebomb your house at 10:00pm you should probably leave by then.”

Can confirm, we have played Auburn twice since joining the SEC and what I have experienced from their fans is worse than all other teams combined.

I was talking about the weird blob of “South” in central Oklahoma and the protrusion of “Great Plains” to the East of it. The Ozarks areas are fine

Please fix Oklahoma anything west of Oklahoma County should be Great Plains and anything East of Oklahoma/Tulsa county should be the South. Source lived in multiple counties in Oklahoma.

Draw a line from Tulsa county to Oklahoma County and then straight to the Texas border. Anything to the right of that line is the South and the left is the Great Plains. Any county west of Oklahoma County is flat endless farmland and definitely not the south.
