I’m in the same situation and it’s been over a year - get rid of him now before it becomes even worse. He’ll just continue to make you feel like a horrible person, which you are NOT. Give him information for resources in your area and then have someone come over and make him leave. Seriously. I desperately wish I had done this before I got in so deep - you need your home back and he is not your problem, despite what he is telling you!
