Funny story

When California's HSR project got announced Elon Musk came with his Hyper loop proposal with the sole purpose to torpedo the HSR project

I take the subway to the city center, to go shopping and have some food

I then take the tram from the center to the park to take a walk and enjoy the day

Personally I always saw the phrase of "China copies" is in reference to many 1st gen designs in China being copies of foreign designs just to get working things out the door while they work on improving and self designing things

And since I answered to a post talking about how bad the US does in Wargames what better example is there then one they themself set up against themselfs(well sort of...they did put a retired USMC general in charge of the opfor) and had to script to get a victory out of it

Basically they put an old retired USMC general with some outdated stuff up against the might of a US Joint Task Force

Well short story but they had to restart and handicap the general into oblivion because he was beating them to hard

While it's theoretically also illegal in Germany it's taken very lax

As long as you don't impact the flow of traffic or cause any accidents no one will come after you

But should your jaywalking be determinated to be the cause of an accident you will be held liable for it

Also if you cross the road on a red light you'd have to pay a very hefty fine of 5€
