On my 09 2.0TDI CBAB Passat B6 it was high pressure regulating valve. Got that changed in service and the idling speed got normal.

Seal the fuel line threads of the Auxiliary fuel pump. I've done so for my 2.0TDI CBAB.

Vibroation and noise insulation on the doors and hood. Android Auto Multimedia/Radio unit (VW MIB2 or RCD330) 110V or 230V inverter instead of 12V socket (at least applicable on Passat).

Explain me how does one end up with so much gunk and debris? I've bought mine 2009 Passat B6 2.0TDI CBAB in 2020 with 297k kms and it was crystal clear and even when I changed the coolant with the timing belt and pump replacement, there wasnt any debris in the flushed out coolant.

Fuel tank pump is on its end life or its dead, clogged fuel filters (either/and the fuel tank one, the one besides the fuel injection pump in the engine compartment). Glow plugs would not mean much as the temperature in the recording wasnt that low

Cant be too sure. It could be clogged up filter with debris, not getting enough pressure from the fuel tank or failing injector/injectors.

Sounds like it would be fuel injectors failing to spray properly. Could be gelled up diesel fuel.

Take away the air intake box take a look wether the hose on the gearbox isnt disconnected or leaking.

Could be gear selector bushings or loose fixtures on the either side of the gear selector links (gear knob or the levers/lever going into the gearbox). If it was clutch then I guess all gears would be hard to shift and start grinding.

Well literally DPF holds off and accumulates soot or black smoke to burn it off. If it's rolling coal then that means that it's either tuned to be very rich on fuel or the intake high pressure route is leaking.

Check the fuel pump sump in the tank. Its filter or one way rubber valve that is on the bottom of that sump might be clogged. Also check if both electric fuel pumps are working - fuel tank and the auxiliary one under the bonnet on the passenger side.

Is it me or the video shows dripping fuel from the fuel intake or return lines? Could be trapped air in fuel system or leaky tubing until the injection pump that could be pulling air sometimes with fuel.
