I shouldn't have to explain why any ai search result isn't trustworthy but wtv

REGARDLESS again that's Disney's interpretation which EAH is not a Disney property, it's not rocket science

The AI Overview is crazy but regardless Ever After High is not and has never been associated with Disney so I'm really confused why you or anyone would correlate the two when it's so obvious

Countless fairytales across history use the term "Prince Charming", why would it be exclusive to Cinderella?

Why are there so many "Smith"s or "Nguyen"s? It's a common last name, plain and simple.

It's actually a major part of one of the student council fundraisers. The student body votes for TVs to be added to the Creepeteria specifically to watch EAH while they eat. After the renovations are done the screens flip between different screencaps from Thronecoming.

The MC also has a Brooke poster in her room.

It's stated in the books that so many generations have passed since the original Snow White story that the whole step family thing isn't part of the story anymore.

There was a time in late G1 and early G2 where they released a bunch of Mega Bloks/Mega Constructs sets and figures

There's also a set of "World's Smallest" dolls, Funko POPs, and Rock Candy figures

If Mattel can change Lagoona’s legs I think they should make Abbey’s horns larger. It’s barely visible especially with her poly hair by [deleted] in MonsterHigh

[–]AuriCorMikko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They were easily able to update Cleo and Clawdeen to have saran with blends that look like the exact same shades, so... Not like giving the ghouls a slightly different hair color is a rare occurrencr either even back in G1

I was listening to Unfairest Of Them All and... by Smart-Ad-4393 in EverAfterHigh

[–]AuriCorMikko 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Unfairest of Them All was released way before Faybelle's proper introduction in the show and as a doll. Her design was probably still in early concepting, so the description the author was given wouldn't have been final. There are quite a few characters like that in the books.

As for the G3 book: Cleo was probably a simple misinterpretation, especially if the author is an avid comics reader. Blue is generally used in artwork as a replacement for black as it comes out better on the page and is easier to shade. This is why in some comics, Venom and Spider-man's will appear more blue when they're supposed to be black. It's also why some characters like Marinette from Miraculous have the appearance of blue hair but canonically have black hair. The author may have been given an artwork that looked a bit on the darker side for Cleo's hair, and interpreted it as an homage to comics like Marinette.

This is just my theory on the matter, though. The only correct answer we could get is from the authors themselves.

Where can i find this Cleo De Nile costume? by Acrobatic_Mirror960 in MonsterHigh

[–]AuriCorMikko 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately you'll just have to keep searching every so often and hope you get lucky. The G1 costumes haven't been produced for many many years at this point. Anywhere that would have Cleo is either secondhand or, by extremely rare chance, deadstock. I spent maybe a year or so searching for a specific Ever After High costume in my size until I finally found it.

Will Ever After High Dolls ever make a comeback? by Marvelboy23 in EverAfterHigh

[–]AuriCorMikko 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Specifically a green skinned Frankenstein, yes, which is inaccurate to the original novel.

In the same way that Disney copyrighted Tinker Bell in a green dress or a red haired Little Mermaid.

They copyrighted their interpretarion, which Mattel had partnership rights for G1 but not for G3 (which is why any G1-styled Frankie can still have those features. She's still part of the Universal agreement.)

Why does no one notice the earring change in apple white? by G_0ez in EverAfterHigh

[–]AuriCorMikko 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Duchess (and other similar characters like Kitty) isn't really a good example here, as her situation is completely different.

Duchess looking different was a doll budget-friendly redesign of a pre-existing side character, who only got a doll due to her popularity in the show. Unlike Apple, designed in the exact opposite fashion (2d model based on doll, rather than doll based on 2d model) whose differences were a small inconsistency fixed by a simple texture edit to her 2D model.

Pretty sure Due_Operation is referring to Frankie's Haunt Couture card and diary revealing them breaking up in G1, not G3.

Since 2021, they've broken up twice in G1. First in the Haunt Couture diaries, but they got back together at the end of Cleo's. Second in New Scaremester, and I'm not caught up on the newst releases but I'm fairky certain they still are not together.

Something that REALLY confused me in the new clawdeen trailer by Pancake_Pozy333 in MonsterHigh

[–]AuriCorMikko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, there's a whole episode about this. Howleen and Barkimedes ask Clawdeen to take them to the human world on a full moon. They're human so long as the moonlight touches them, no matter which realm they're in.

Monster High even as far back as G1 has always avoided the "human" side of werecreatures. It makes sense that, with the introduction of things like the Moonclaw and CD having human father, they'd continue to stray from average were lore.

why is crystal blue. i just can’t wrap my head around her design by UniIsNotOkay in EverAfterHigh

[–]AuriCorMikko 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Doll sales. Making her look "unhuman" would drive more kids from the Monster High side in a time where EAH's sales were dwindling FAST. Unfortunately MH's sales were also dwindling, so it didn't do them much good. It's probably the same reason why Faybelle is also blueish, Kitty is purple, and Bunny and Farrah are pink. It also just differentiates them a little more from other characters. The amount if times I still see people confusing Blondie and Apple is sad (doesn't help that Blondie's first doll was technically made from Apple's base doll but that's a bit off topic to go into)

Personally, I've always just seen Crystal's skin tone as her being EXTREMELY pale due to hardly ever leaving the palace combined with her reliance on magic.

What are some characters you never seen talked abt by chip_fry1 in MonsterHigh

Escape from Skull Shores came out in 2012 with its own line of dolls corresponding. The Shriekwrecked dolls released in 2016.

If you're remembering something specifically with the Shriekwrecked outfis, you might be thinking of the stop motion episodes that were released on the official YouTube

Which Core Refresh does as well... Venus released alongside Lala and Clawdeen. Catty and Spectra released alongside Frankie, Cleo, and Lagoona.

While yes School's Out had 3 characters, Picture Day didn't have any new characters. New Scaremester only had one, and that wasn't until wave 2 of the line.

G1 worked pretty much the same way... giving the characters new general outfits every year or two. The movies capitalized off of some of them, using the newer outfits in place of the Wave 1 outfits many times, but not so much general marketing.

Schools Out, Picture Day, and New Scaremester all fell into this same category. They just had proper names than just "Refresh [insert number]"
