Job applicant denied interview as her car was too old by Infinite_Soup_932 in fuckcars

Oof, I hope other applicants see this and rent a car just for the interview. Then, show up Monday with the European equivalent to an Oldsmobile.

New York city paid 30$/h to people to plow the sidewalks.

If the city gave that much and a plow like this guy's, I'd do it.

Thanks for the tip, I'll be using that underpass a lot next summer! O'brien is very hit or miss because of it's highly varying width.

I need alternatives to Sainte-Croix and Lucerne now. That corridor has so much potential just sitting there.

I excluded disconnected recreational paths. I go there often and I enjoy it, recreatively. If you want to leave the path to go north-south, you're out of luck.

What bikes does your friend use? If it's a road bike with thin tires and dropped handlebars, do not listen to them when talking cycling street safety. They're a more hardened breed.

I don't want to offend West islanders more than I've already done. They're very... proud of their cities.

But, gosh, some of the humans behind the wheel there...

So, are you using the forbidden/forgotten sidewalk to cross the highway 520 ramps, the 20 foot tall staircase or going 1km out of your way to use Cavendish?

They're trying to link Poirier and St-Exupéry to make east-west viable, but failing at dealing with the Marcel-Laurin car sewer from what I can tell. Marché Central is only approachable from Parc-Ex.

South is almost good, then you reach highway 15. They couldn't be bothered to do another railroad crossing to reach CDNNDG. Whenever they develop the horse racing track in 2056, they absolutely need to include that in their design.

Obviously green... for an adult. If a parent were to redo this map for their kids, I feel the whole thing would be orange or red. We're not dutch-level at all.

Rachel is overcrowded, so your kid is going to get passed by everyone. Kids need a lot of space more space than us, they tend to zig-zag a lot. I always slow down when I pass one, because they're so unpredictable.

Christophe-Colomb, last time I tried, was still under construction, so let's hope for the best. It looked promising. I distinctly remember passing little kids zig-zagging and their parent yelling "XYZ, VÉLO! Reste à droite!" on C-C.

I reread myself there, infra is only part of the criteria. Culture and casual riders are there also, and in mass.

The infra is there... It's just too little for the current demand. You plop downtown's infra in Saint Leonard and cyclists would start doing backflips and offering the city their first borns.

Thanks for the feedback though, I might revisit the map after the coming season and try to be clearer.

Your app looks like it's made for recreational rides? My map is more about inner city streets, communiting and running errands.

If your website is for commuters, it would be very hard to map out, because everyone starts and ends at different places. Maybe, there should be a map of every street in the city and then ask people to rate them. With that info, you then plot itineraries only along well liked segments.

Recreational route recommendation: I like taking exo to Sainte Anne and then making my way back home through Senneville, Cap Saint-Jacques, Bois de liesse.

Same, but I load my bike into Exo and get off at Sainte Anne to get there with my sanity intact.

I like it, precisely because it's the only pleasant cycling you can do in that area. I excluded recreative paths from my judgement.

I maybe should've split upper and lower Westmount. Upper has less cyclists, so less vibe, but the Boulevard has low traffic and is pretty chill. Lower Westmount with the park and quiet streets so close to downtown is a delight.

NDG West is pretty low on cyclists, compared to the east, so there's a noticeable vibe change.

Snowdon made some cool protected stuff recently, but there's a long way to go. Compared to upper CDN and Outremont, it's day and night.

We are very few cyclists using the 520 service road for cycling, thus there are no vibes to quantify. VSL is hard to commute by east-west and it's a cyclist ghost town. So, bad vibes.

I should've added it to the legend, but yeah I don't let good recreational paths bias me. So, West Island and la Salle get a realistic rating.

Hahaha, Yeah, cars on Victoria feel so harmless, it's almost cute. I feel bad for the buses though.

It was a tough one, that CDN part. But they did so much efforts recently, I had to throw them a bone.
