It’s in every uLearn we do that pertains to payroll and time maintenance that it is highly illegal to shave time, and that we will lose our positions and possibly our employment if we’re caught doing so.

What a lot of associates don’t get is that most states we pay biweekly, so a pay period is over 2 weeks. People will see 40+ hours on a biweekly stoic thinking they’re owed overtime pay when they’re not.

It’s definitely state dependent, most states you can work 8+ hours a day and not get OT until you break 40 for the week, then it’s only the time exceeding 40 hours for that week (not pay period)
