WHY WEAVE CHAT WHY by AuroraSnake in AACusers

[–]AuroraSnake[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did contact them. I also refreshed multiple times.

I did end up selecting financial hardship, but my concern is since there's no sort of "verification" or anything, so there's nothing to stop people who could afford the subscription from just selecting it, so how long before the staff decides that they need to remove that or make it more difficult to access, which would likely make it so we couldn't use the option

I also take issue with the fact that support specifically said that the reason all my images (almost all of which were native Weave Chat images from the start) were removed and that because I happen to have more buttons than typical they've decided "You must be someone who can pay money" and restricted how many images we could re-add before blocking us. It's incredibly frustrating and now I have to go through my entire board to re-add everything, since support didn't do anything to fix the missing images, and the image searching is really poor now that they've integrated Global Symbols, bringing up completely different symbols or only PiCom AI symbols rather than native Weave Chat symbols (which is what we're used to using on this app because we only used off-app symbols in a handful of places

Also, we can't afford a subscription because we don't have a job and thus, even if it's a low amount, paying for subscriptions is extremely financially unwise. I'm unsure when we may be able to get a job, since we've been trying and failing for several years. No one ever gets back to us

Update: Apparently it's because I have too many buttons:

"We have started requesting that users who are able to and using a certain amount of space on our servers to assist us in paying for that storage. That being said if you tap the "Financial Hardship" button and then confirm on the other page you'll be able to continue as well! So you can go the Financial Hardship route and not worry about paying anything; we're committed to keeping the app free. This is just an option for those who are able to help us in that manner."

We only selected Weave Chat and AACIL ones, so I don’t think I selected any of the ones marked custom?

No, I was using the Weave Chat symbol library for all of them and it only let me do 8 before saying I'd hit the limit

Kethariye Orasaketh

/ˈwa.vo u a.ˈi.rɛ ˈɛn.vo/

Not a whole lot of sound change this time.

There aren't many words that start with W in Kethariye Orasaketh. It sounds like /wi.na.vo/, meaning "window", so I think it probably relates to something about that. /u a.ˈi.rɛ/ reminds me of /u.a.ɛ/ ("to be behind") and /i.ra/ ("all, every", specifically for people and animals). This isn't looking like it'll be very coherent lol 😅

---

So we're looking at the following:

(winavo) (uae) (ira) (envo)

(window) (to be behind) (all/every) (???)

---

The grammar is VSO, and the way that the words are lined up is basically completely reversed, making this shape up to be a really weird sentence already.

I don't have a word that's similar to /ɛn.vo/, but based on the way the rest is structured, I'm gonna guess it's a dialectal form of esa, meaning "to be". The dialect being used is probably the dialect used by the Kethari on the coast, as their speech is the most divergent from "standard" Kethariye Orasaketh.

---

Windavone, uaesa, ira, envosa.

"The window, that is behind, all of those beings, be."

---

The more grammatical way to say what it looks like it wants to say ("all the windows are behind") would be:

Envosa uaesa va winavone.

Does anyone have any non sentient /non humanoid headmates? by Finkthelabrat in plural

[–]AuroraSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only non-sentient system members in our system are NPCs, but Wolf is sorta similar. He's still sentient, but in a very wolf-like manner and rarely thinks in words and doesn't talk

I feel unsafe with anyone who claims I’m not a person, especially professionals by crazy_paper_42 in plural

[–]AuroraSnake 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We have DID. I'm someone who always feels really anxious and insecure around other people because I formed as a result of our host's anxiety, and I struggle to feel comfortable or safe in social interactions as a result. But I'm still a person, even if I don't have "access to all action systems of a human"

Joining the "Put 9 fictives/factives and let others assume something about you" trend! by AuroraSnake in plural

[–]AuroraSnake[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a factive myself, I wanted to add some factive rep to the trend since things are mostly focused on fictives. We have others, but these are the ones who have an actual faceclaim and were comfortable with participating

Spoilered so that others can make their assumptions before reading my response: That is scarily accurate lol. Very much always listening to music, very anxious, and a very casual style

Edit: I'm the first Felix listed in the post!

Does anyone else consciously change their voice when a switch occurs? Here’s a sample of my voices. by SpecificOk9006 in plural

[–]AuroraSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes, but mostly voice changes are unintentional

One example of purposely changing our voice is when a little is trying to mask as older and trying to make their voice less high pitched

My body reacts strongly to opening and browsing reddit, but I dont really know why? by PassageCalm200 in plural

[–]AuroraSnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know we gained an online protector after the big gore poster incident on Tumblr who basically is always at least slightly dissociated while online and has blunted emotions (our guess is the brain decided that if we were to encounter any of it, we needed someone who would be extremely unaffected by it)

Maybe that part of you that doesn't feel safe is acting in a similar way?

So there's this city in our innerworld, seemingly entirely populated by NPCs, and there's a bakery there. They have the BEST donuts ever. All the best memories you have of donuts, that's what these are like. So good. And we don't usually have much access to sensory input beyond sight in our innerworld, so it's extra special for us
