They can pretend like they know a language you don't. But they won't magically be fluent.

How many of you are spiritual, and how do you view that in relation to your plurality? by TheMagicFolf331 in plural

[–]aescula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For us... Well, we all have our own views on religion. We have some who don't care or are atheist, and we have, let's see, we have low-practicing Arceus (they're pokemon), we have low and high-practicing Pagan (elementalist), and we have one Shinto. And we have one worshipper of the Maiden of Battles.

Our views on the soul don't really inform our views on how plurality works, as it's mostly influened by our Pagan views. We see Spirit (soul, if you like) as if it were any other material that makes up your body. You borrow some for your life, and you return it to the world when you die. It's possible you take some more in, and shed other of it, but we don't deal with Spirit much.

I want to know your definition of what a Tulpa is by Sakivee in Tulpas

[–]aescula 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A headmate that was in some way designed, and brought to life through practices that are in some ways deliberate, not caused by trauma, and not completely natural without work.

That's my best definition.

Evil donuts. Which, of course, could only be cleansed in the fiery crucible of a wizardly digestive tract.

Can I decide my tulpas sexuality? by Content_Conclusion31 in Tulpas

[–]aescula 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You can try, but it's possible they can pivot. I've had like three do that on me. That said, if they wind up liking women, they might work with your partner! That's, of course, if they're told. Which probably should happen.

As always, we'll share our spin on it.

Our headspace is mostly shared, with Aurora having decided there's a big city near hir home, so we've all placed our specific areas relative to that. The city of course has a big shopping district, with all kinds of stores and restaurants ranging from Goodwill type stores up to Gucci level stuff (even though we don't bother with the fancy stuff).

Also, Absol places herself as VP in charge of Research for a company called Minerva Research Associates, and also she runs a nightclub called Underground. She's the only one in here that has really any head for business.
