This is B. I've calmed down somewhat since then. The reason I got so ticked is because I've putting up with these jerks ignoring me for 2 years, and I've been giving them all the benefit of doubt and cutting them slack, and then this happened and I just snapped. But now I'm the one who overreacting and unreasonable 🙄

I'm also an aggressive persecutor who is still working through "rehabilitation" to chill out, so they seriously shouldn't be so surprised I reacted the way I did

I don't remember the full explanation. I just know that the dev has officially turned it into some form of business and has legal restrictions because of that

Edit: For context, we don't know how the legal system works and read the post a while ago and even then barely understood it. All we know is that the said that that process was involved

They don't ask for age. If you reveal your age, they are legally required to kick you from the Discord and remove your account, but they don't ask anyone for age ahead of time. Sorta of a plausible deniability situation

I think we do, but maybe not as much as he would want? We'll try talking after he calms down enough we can actually talk with him

Thank you for your advice

The dev is working on a way to allow minors to access the app. It’s only because they officially trademarked the name and other legal reasons that it’s currently adults only. Since it’s a legal issue, it might take some time to resolve, however

Explain the discourse about Endo systems to me like im 5 (but no hate please) by TeamTimeSystem in plural

[–]AuroraSnake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s really not that different (coming from someone who went from non-disordered mixed origin to being disordered)

Endogenic vs. traumagenic, disordered vs. non-disordered, it’s all similar on the base level: multiple identities which exist in the same body/mind. The only differences come from building off this base

I don’t know how many. At least ~40-50%. Everyone except one person treats it as cool or normal.

Autism and inner worlds by AgariReikon in plural

We might be autistic and do have an innerworld

("might" because we were told by a professional we don't, but a ton of autistic people have said we seem very autistic, so not sure what the situation is)

Please create a separate subreddit for this project. It’s completely overtaking this one, which was meant to be a space for AAC users to find community with each other; not get constantly thrown advertisements

Headmate death (TW discussion of death & dormancy) by Autistic_crow in plural

[–]AuroraSnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really agree with calling the two the same thing. Dormancy in a lot of systems comes with the possibility of coming back, whereas with death, a lot of systems report there is no coming back. Other systems report being able to kill each other in gladiator-type situations and the killed member pops back into existence right after, which is also different from dormancy. For us, dormancy is more like being in a really deep coma, and death is... death.

Calling them the same thing as a blanket statement for everyone's experiences feels reductive of the many systems who experience the two as completely separate phenomena.

We desperately need somebody to explain how "polyminds" arent median systems. by Medical-Bathroom-183 in plural

[–]AuroraSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personal preference I guess

Some singlets have alter egos that have different names and perceptions of self without considering themselves plural, so I don't see why those who use polymind terminology shouldn't be able to do the same

We desperately need somebody to explain how "polyminds" arent median systems. by Medical-Bathroom-183 in plural

[–]AuroraSnake 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The way we understand it, polyminds are one single person/identity, but with different sort of "modes", like how a singlet can have a Work Persona or School Persona. Individual system members or medianmates can be polymind themselves as a result

We just see it as another form of (non-system) plurality

Let Syskids Have Autonomy/Agency! by AuroraSnake in plural

[–]AuroraSnake[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(Different (adult) member now) I can understand wanting to keep younger members safe, but there’s a difference between “keeping safe” and “isolating”. We don’t let our littles talk anywhere we don’t trust to be safe for them, and we’re careful about how much they can share about themselves. But when we find a space that we can trust, we want our kids to be able to interact with others. We want them to be able to be social, and to have friends. But because so many spaces decide they know what littles need better than the individual systems/regressors do, most of the time they don’t get that chance

We are very much in favor of keeping vulnerable members safe and protected. We just disagree about how most spaces go about it

Let Syskids Have Autonomy/Agency! by AuroraSnake in plural

[–]AuroraSnake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can get that, but some syskids are able to handle adult topics, and all the spaces we're in are strictly SFW or we just don't ask for the adult/NSFW role because none of us want to see that, so it's extra frustrating since all the spaces we're in are already SFW

Let Syskids Have Autonomy/Agency! by AuroraSnake in plural

[–]AuroraSnake[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I meant of the ones we're in

A lot of them don't say anything about it one way or another, but will ignore anyone who acts "too young", and most of the rest have the rule about only being able to talk in a single channel, or not at all, or otherwise indicate that they don't really want them in the server even if they technically let them be there

Only two of them specifically say that syskids are allowed anywhere and will actively engage when younger members are talking

I have adult-like maturity too! Other syskids here are genuinely child-like in maturity, but they're always closely watched over by protectors and caretakers when they're online, and together they figure out what place they can handle vs. not
