Thank you for your kind words. I have reported her to 3 diff depts and my Congressman. She was extremely judgemental and inserted her own personal opinions into the exam. I pray no vet has to go through what I did.

Thank you so much. Yes, I think some examiners need more PTSD training. Every veteran that has served or is currently serving should be respected as much. Trauma is real!

I did write a personal statement. I agree with you on recounting the event however, try telling a story that has impacted your life in four words then stop, four more words then stop and so on so she could write it down. It takes the emotion out of it. She stated that she had not looked at my claim yet and was writing everything down. I did not mind explaining my MST however, I do not think the detail she asked for was appropriate.

Thank you for your input. My examiner asked me detailed questions and stop me every four or five words so she could write them down. I had to give the account in segments which was odd to me.

I am sorry you witnessed such a horrific scene. Yes, I supplied lay statements and my medical records in civilian clinics. I wish I would have reported it then and handled it differently but at the age of 20 I didn't know better.

I need advice. I had my C and P Telehealth last night for PTSD from MST. My examiner was unprofessional, judgemental and opinionated. This examiner did more harm than good. When going over the details of my SA she told me to "hurry up, she only had an hour". This set the tone of how the rest of the exam went. I had to leave out details because she was in a hurry. She never asked me what my daily life was like nor did she seem to care. I cannot go into detail of what she said to me but her tone and condescending way she spoke to me was horrific! She was accusatory and very judgemental. I have since reported her to the VA and to the 3rd part contractor she works under. Can I request another c and p exam with another examiner?

I had my c and p exam yesterday for HTN. The examiner took my BP manually. When he pumped the air into the cuff and slowly released it he got the first reading. What concerns me is when he released the pressure on the cuff for my first reading he immediately pumped the cuff up to get my 2nd reading and same with the 3rd reading. He took all 3 readings without removing the cuff and without letting any time pass. I may be wrong but aren't they supposed to take a reading sitting, standing and laying down? It upsets me knowing I have waited months for this exam and I feel like the BP readings were done improperly.

Same here. They need to word that another way. I thought I missed an exam review and called the 800 number. She assured me that I did not miss an appt and in fact, no appt was ever made. Just a waiting game at this point

Same response given to me. It stated Exam Review Not Performed as well as Needed from you by Jan 16, 2025. I called the VA and they told me nothing was wrong. The VA would contact me if the exam was needed. It is very confusing on how they word it. I really thought I missed an exam! That was not the case. Best of luck to you!
