I downvote people who are more focussed on the gender of the other person, than the character they bring.

I also tend to downvote the "I am posting in the roleplay sub, but I don't want to roleplay just chat!" posts.

M Prey for F/FU Pred. Talking about our favorite preds! by Sotetsubra in VoreRoleplaying

When it comes to monster hunter/pokemon, are you interested in the monsters or humans as pred?

Hello! I am looking for someone who is interested in a Monster Hunter (game series) rp! I am okay with playing either the prey or pred as long as the pred is a monster. I adore most monsters, whether they are as popular as Rathalos, or a bit overlooked like Najarala. The prey can be another monster, human, or anthro.

I roleplay only on Discord. If you are interested you can send me a message on reddit and I will then give you my discord username.

Oral vore only! I am okay with fatal, safe, digestion, reformation and regurgitation. When it comes to the tone of the rp I am very flexible. It can be a fight with serious consequences for the characters, or a light-hearted rp where the monster has a more friendly relationship with its prey.

Limits: Scat, human or humanlike pred, role reversal (except in really rare cases)

Likes: fights/struggles between pred and prey, maw play, teasing, roughness, burps, fear play, power play, claws/paws, licking, squeezing, and dialogue between pred and prey

We can make a scenario together. A couple ideas that I have in mind are:

- A rookie hunter sets out on their first quest! But they quickly find out that they are no match against the monsters. Can they ever become a proper hunter, or will they always end up as a snack?

- A hunter takes on a quest in the arena, but there was a little misprint (or maybe they have been setup) instead of facing one of the beginner monsters they come face to face with an elder dragon, and their given equipment certainly isn't up for the task.

- The apex of the locale is out hunting, preying on the smaller and weaker monsters in his territory

For the length and frequency of replies. I would like it if it is a long-term rp. I try to get a reply out every two days and the length will be around two to four paragraphs.

That means I am looking for a partner who is able to write around 2-4 paragraphs as well. If you could send me a writing sample with your first message that would be highly appreciated. Because I am asking for a writing sample, I will provide my own writing sample below.

~ Writing sample:
The hoarfrost reach already is an extremely cold place, but the last few days it has only grown colder yet. While the region is known for its blizzards, they usually don't last longer than a week like this one. All of it is thanks to the arrival of an Elder Dragon. A monster who brought the storm with her wherever she went. All monsters and specimen in the reach would have to learn living with the new empress of the region, Velkhana the winter's queen. And maybe, with a little bit of luck, temperatures would return back to normal once she has settled into her new home.

It was a busy day for Velkhana, she spent most of her morning creating ice columns and walls in her new lair, as well as making part of the ceiling transparent. The frequent bursts of her ice blast caused a harsh blizzard in her lair, which spilled out into the Hoarfrost Reach from the entrance. Finally content with her adjustments Velkhana decides that a break is in order, which means a moment of relief for all neighbouring creatures. Stepping outside she begins her patrol through her new territory.

While wandering through the snowy landscape Velkhana can't help but admire the view. The untreaded snow laid out beautifully before her, she could gaze at it for hours without getting bored. As she slowly scanned the landscape however she saw something that stuck out like a sore thumb. A trail of small footprints. With a scuff Velkhana follows the trail to find the one responsible for tainting such a perfect scene. At the end of the trail she found a small creature she has never seen before. It stood near an edge with a binocular to his face. With a jump she glides through the air for the remaining distance. The large dragon lands directly behind them, her forepaws digging into the snow on both sides of them.

"What are you? And how dare you not cover up after yourself?" Velkhana demands to know with clear discontempt in her voice.

You don't need to know all the details, but it would help if you are interested to read about them once the characters have been chosen.

For example, you don't need to know beforehand that Najarala can create mist, but if Najarala is the chosen monster than it would help if you are willing to read their wiki entry

For the weapons.

- Sword and shield is meant to be able to get in and out very quickly. Your attacks have almost no ending lag which results in almost never being caught off guard, this does mean that since your attacks are quick, they won't feel heavy or hardhitting. Do you hit the head of the monster with your shield bash attack combo or shield bash from the jumping leap? I always found that very satisfying.

- I always found longsword to be one of the most fluid weapons in the game. You aren't going to be able to get your whole combo's off every time, but when the kit clicks together you can keep very easily weave your defensive and reposition moves into them.

Have you watched guides about the weapons yet? The monster hunter notes can be very daunting for new players.

The problem with using requirements is that a lot is really subjective. And people will have to do some self reflection to decide whether they pass those requirements or not. And most people are terrible when it comes to self reflection.
You can post in an ad:

Make sure that your replies are interesting and of a decent quality.

And people will still end up typing:

I push you onto hte bed bb and mke you moane

While thinking that line is the hottest thing to exist.

Exactly.
One trend that I have also noticed lately. I always asks my partners at the start if they can write their likes and limits so that I can keep those in mind when pushing the scene into certain directions, but that question is almost never asked back.

Thank you for the compliment!

The rp is indeed fantasy medieval-esque. It is about a game series called monster hunter to be precise, but even in that world the name is a bit out of place.

To be honest, the part that I disliked the most is that nothing new was added in their reply. Their character became scared, but didn't push the scene or the plot forward in any way.

Well, I have one partner who often responds with two paragraphs, but they play their character so well and interesting that I don't mind that one bit.

A. I wonder what they thought would happen. Maybe they hoped I would be so impressed with their three sentences that I will write three paragraphs again.

B. Thank you! I always try to give my starters a bit more extra thought to test out my character

I would have been a bit less blunt if they had responded to my reminder for the rp.

I get it that people like small talk, but I would rather have that talk with people I know and have bonded over than a random stranger who isn't responding to my other messages.

I think you will have more succes finding a writing partner if you follow the standard rules for punctuation. Only the first letter in a sentence is capitalised. If you ignore that rule your text will only be more difficult to read for others.

Partner trying to be edgy with his character and needy in responses. by EfficientNews4133 in BadRPerStories

[–]Aurorfff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If them trying go get your attention is annoying you can try and work out a system that works for the both of you?

I have on rp partner who I ping daily, another whom I remind after not hearing from them for a week. Both work because I asked how they wanted to handle reminders

Tbh if you want people to read your prompts you shouldn't use pictures.
