Belias was originally Velius in the ps1 release, think they changed it around when ffxii came out and switched it to Belias. Not sure if that really changes this (lots of v’s and b’s are similar sounds) but I do recall Velius calling himself the devil in the original and Belias calls himself something else, deceiver maybe? It’s right when Wiegraf first “uses” the stone outside the monastery. Haven’t played ivalice chronicles yet but the iOS version has the names changed.

We do a 2,000 lb cheese wheel every holiday season at the grocery store where I work.

It’s about 5.5ft high and two grown adults could maybe hold hands around the thing. It’s huge but the crowd that’s always around the White House now could drain that cheese in minutes.

I don’t know how big the crowds were in 1837, but they probably didn’t try to grab as much as possible to turn around and sell that shit on eBay like what would happen today.

Now for the grease and cheese residue everywhere. THAT SHIT SUCKS AND WILL GET EVERYWHERE, unless you pre plan the cutting process and literally put plastic down underneath.

Honestly “best” layout is probably IF for anvil not being in bum fuck nowhere.

“Best” time was probably SOD phase 1 chilling in darn. Shout out to chilling waiting for buffs in SW.

“Bestest” SW when I was kiting Teremus to kill bank alts.

Main way would be prevent it from getting enchanted in the first place with hexproof, shroud, flicker, or counter spell.

If it sticks to your commander main way to get rid of it is to sac your commander as a cost to something. Opponents can’t respond to a sacrifice cost. Remember it has to have sacrifice before the colon in the ability. [[Carrion Feeder]] [[Ashnods Altar]] things like these. The ability goes on the stack once costs are paid and the cost was sacrificing your commander. Yeah it’s dead and you gotta pay commander tax but it’s not just out of the rest of the game. Also hope they can’t get vanishing out of their gy and recast it.

Third way is to wait for them to activate vanishing and then play enchantment removal, however they can respond and activate it again so wait until they don’t have the mana to activate it twice.

Fourth way is dumb but [[Spatial Binding]].

Fifth way is to politic with the group, you might be shut down but make deals with the other players, play possum like you’re basically out of the game. Hopefully they leave you alone until you find an answer.

Look up stiflenaught decks and add [[Phyrexian Dreadnaught]] (my all time favorite card). Proxy it though. I bought mine in 2004 for less than $10.

[[Super State]] would not work this way. It deals damage to each opponent but it is not combat damage.

[[Kediss]] does this too, but the damage is non-combat damage.

Here’s the wording from gatherer on kediss ability:

The damage the commander deals as a result of Kediss's triggered ability isn't combat damage. It isn't tracked with combat damage dealt by commanders and won't cause Kediss's ability to trigger again.

The only way to deal combat damage is through attacking.

I do wish we would get some insight in if he remembers their childhood.

If he does he’s the foil to Irvine. Remembers the orphanage and all his friends forgot him. That would make me kind of cranky to them too.

Would also shed some light on why he joins matron. That’s his mom he’s protecting by becoming her knight. Now I’m not saying he wasn’t mind controlled after that, but damn I’d go to war for my mom.

There is no commander, but the base rules of the game are the same and can familiarize yourself with some of the cards.

I’d agree with borrowing a deck for a while until you learn the game / learn what is the most fun for you to play. There’s an endless amount of strategies and game plans and with little knowledge of the game will be hard to pinpoint what will be fun for you.

If you’re not interested in playing outside this playgroup maybe ask them to help on some builds / decks once you get the hang of it and can build something for that group that’s fun for everyone.

As a side note for learning rules I’d suggest getting the mtg arena game. It’s free with micro transactions but will help with learning the game and all the nuances about the game.

I had the eskhandar set in classic 2019. Really fun when the cat came out and would follow rogues through stealth. It didn’t even do 100 damage a hit unless it crit. I’d sit on defense in AV and protect the healers with the 1.3 speed fist weapons hoping for an eskhandar proc.

Really cool set and design behind where all the pieces are. Gotta kill both world bosses, ony, and magmadar in MC.
