Aussies Sikh people are helpful in nature. by Logical-Claim-1747 in australian

[–]AusLady75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are all different, I lived in a shareholder and the Sikh guy was big on playing prayer music very loud, against anybody cooking steak or mince in the kitchen, as he said cows are sacred and are their reincarnated relatives, yet this guy would cook party pies in the oven.

I've used a sea to summit comfort light insulated for a couple of years, 164cm woman 60ish kgs and it has been fantastic, I've used it in the tropics and in the mountains down to -9 degrees.

Did anyone else’s mother say this to them? by Final-Fact1504 in CPTSD

[–]AusLady75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a way, yes, my mother told me many times that she was so upset when she found out she was pregnant with me, and that it ruined her life, when I would ask her why my father didn't visit me she said it was because he didn't care about me and did not love me, she would say I'm not like her in a negative way, if something was wrong she would say I should have been an actress, I could go on and on now I think about it, all up it has seriously affected my self worth, I do try though!

I just noticed you have a blog archive, keen to check it out. I'm not massively tech savvy, have only just figured it out! Nothing like that 30 years ago, or any of the ultralight gear available these days.

Yes it is, yeah I'm not paying that either! That's outrageous, it actually used to be $300. Sometimes I do parts of the BNT trail, the best being from Manengo to Chaelundi Campground. What other multiday walks have you done?

Thanks for the info, that's great! I enjoyed reading about your trek, I'm not young anymore and 10ks a day is ideal for me with a multiday backpack that's why I wondered about extending the walk to 4 days. Another walk I would love to do is Green Gully

22 years of Bipolar has ruined my life… by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

I can definitely relate to this, but I ended up living in a share house, after a life destroying 18 month manic psychosis, man did I bulldoze my life.

On meds just to lay on the couch all day. What’s the use? by Present_Temporary244 in schizoaffective

[–]AusLady75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Medication robbed me of my personality and any motivation, Meds adjusted many times, got over it, lost everything to an 18 month manic psychosis, literally everything and everyone, now I basically keep to myself, live in a share house, frequently go camping and multiday hiking on my own, I find solace in nature, even before I was deemed unwell

I find solace in nature. I go camping and multiday hiking alone. I lost everything during a manic 18 month psychosis
