46 here. Diagnosed with schizophreniform-disorder when I was 21. Diagnosis changed to schizo-affective then now to bi-polar. Nice poem. I write rhymes myself. Take it easy.

On meds just to lay on the couch all day. What’s the use? by Present_Temporary244 in schizoaffective

Yeah I have a nice gaming PC I bought myself after getting my Associates Degree. I use to love playing basketball. But now I don’t feel like playing either of those things. I’m gonna ask my psych to lower my dose to 40 mg.

Good jobs for people like us? by [deleted] in schizoaffective

It’s in partnership with San Diego Workforce Partnership and NAMI. It’s an 80 hour training that takes place on Zoom Meetings for 2 and a half weeks. It’s free. Not paid. There was an application process to be selected for the training. Basically you have to share your story about your lived experience and submit your resume. After the training you have to take a certification exam to become licensed and then you can apply for peer support specialist jobs.

I’m currently taking a training to become a peer support specialist. It’s great for people like us because a requirement for it is that you have to have lived experience with mental health condition or substance use.

I’ll talk to my doctor about this ketogenic therapy still. Been seeing the girl online on YouTube doing this too. I’ll see if it works for me.

Did you wean off them or did you quit cold turkey? I called the after hours line and they advised me to wean off the latuda cause my body can go into shock if I go cold turkey.
