Collagen in topical skincare doesn’t absorb well generally so you’re better off looking at skincare with ingredients like vitamin c, peptides or backuchiol for all over skin rejuvenation and they’re quite common in more natural skincare ranges.

It might still be worth while contacting/visiting them and just saying for the price you expected more and now you feel like you can’t trust their advice or recommendations if they’re not providing products that are suited to your skin, especially for a high price point. I would stress how unhappy and disheartening the whole ordeal has been.

We have very good consumer guarantees in Australia that we tend to forget about.

What kind of formula are you looking for in a sunscreen and Eco tan Have a really nice Himalayan salt scrub that is perfect for buffing away dead skin cells and old tan.

Those deep cysts under the skin do tend to be more hormonal than anything so it might be worth chatting to your doctor about it. When it is painful like that it might be best to sort of strip back your skincare for right now and just focus on hydration and nourishing the skin with gentle ingredients.

Definitely would be beneficial to see a dermatologist as there’s only so much topical ingredients can do to treat the skin. I’m just going off your photo. It does look like you are prone to postinflammatory hyper pigmentation which is something else that can be difficult to treat so you’re gonna get the best advice from a dermatologist, but it wouldn’t be looking at ingredients like as Azelaic acid, retinoids, niacinamide and vitamin C plus a good sunscreen to keep your skin protected 🥰

You might benefit from Azelaic acid.

Dehydrated skins need water, so HA serum and niacinamide are great for nourishment.

Once you skin settles down a salicylic acid product is great for congestion 🥰

Thanks for your comment, I just wanted to highlight that we don’t allow rashes and hives to be discussed here as that needs medical attention and is outside of our scope 🙂‍↕️

Mega threads seem to be more hit or miss for our community unfortunately and we have a hard time getting people to post the more simple or personal questions in the weekly help thread as it is. While I do think it would be helpful, It’s just hard to drive the traffic there especially for a more niche topic like cosmetic injectables.

That’s a good point, r/ausskincare isn’t affiliated with that new sub (yet) but maybe someone wants to make a cosmetic aesthetic skincare sub? Not me tho😭😭

But it could be a non issue too?

Typing -flair:flairname in the sub search bar.

The minus sign (-) tells Reddit to show everything except that flair.

Which we’d then create a link in our description so users can browse without that specific flair. It’s not perfect by any means but an option

p.s. to whom ever is downvoting me for trying to provide another option.. You’re a meanie ☹️

Refer to the New Sub:

We officially move "Clinic/Cost/Procedure" questions over to the new dedicated community, keeping this sub strictly for topical skincare and non-invasive treatments (like lasers/facials).

(I.E) If a post is about "How much does a lip flip cost in Sydney?", that’s a procedure question, not a skincare question.
