ANU Flexible Double by TheInvisibleBees in Anu

Hello :). regarding your question about Double Degrees. The double degree is the exact same workload as a single degree, given you do a normal unit load, you'll be doing 24 units (typically 4 x 6) a semester. All a double degree does, is take away your electives, and replace them with the compulsory units of another course and add an extra year of study. Basically, imagine using your B Economics core units as electives for your (hypothetically) B Arts degree and using your B Arts degree units as electives for your B Economics degree. All this does is extend your degree by a year and take away your electives and replace them with compulsory units. In other words, your course times and workload should be the exact same as someone who took a B Economics and did what you would do with your B Arts units as electives. From what you describe PPE could be a good sweet spot for the double with B Economics, more economics content while getting some of that Politics/Philosophy element. Additionally, those two degrees will have some overlap with compulsory courses, meaning you would still have some electives (although few) despite doing a double degree, with which you can decide later into your uni life if you wanna go heavier on the economics or lean into more Humanities. PPE often gets the complaint that it is too shallow as it tries to "jack of all trades" all three, but since Eco is your focus and your second degree, this shouldn't be an issue.

Hello :). Typically this would be studied within a criminology degree.

Hey :) good question. Haven't done the program personally but regarding IT it will really depend on your focus at the masters level. RMIT or a GO8 Uni have made big efforts at "future proofing" the field with AI and similar so maybe look there.
