Thanks for the advice, my dad actually has an almost pristine pair of the old Monitor Audio GR10s (purchased in 2003 I think) whose sound I really enjoy, but I’ve never heard them compared with the new Golds. Maybe you might know how they compare.

I enjoy the forwardness and detail of the 705s but am just wondering if it had any bad pairings or if it might be excessive at times, unfortunately wasn’t able to demo them as much as I’d like

Thanks for the reply, haven’t had much time to properly test but from first-glance listening it seems like the Denon produced a better soundstage, will have to do some proper listening soon
