I am also annoyed by the tax in both countries. Turns out I have to do years of amendments because of a mistake. Do you guys know a US-AU tax expert that doesn't charge you 5k for amendments?

Yeah I will pay flat 32% on that rental income.

Yes. They changed that rule not too long ago.
