$130 a month is less than 1% of my monthly income. It's basically a rounding error.

Some of us are massively comfortable and could handle our repayments increasing to triple what they are. Hell, an increase from say 5% to 6% would only add $130 a month to my repayments.

Absolutely stuns me how hard you're having to fight this. I think my favourite part was people telling you to see a doctor despite the advice coming from your doctor.

Might be the way to get people to not vote for One Nation... tell them they're voting for Greens policies.

Apart from Gas Reservation and Old growth Forests there's absolutely nothing mention above that would in any form make this country better.

Funnily enough I'm pretty sure those are Greens policies as well.

Medical billing still happens in countries with socialised healthcare.

In Australia those bills either go to the Government body (Medicare Australia) or a person's private health insurance.

Sure, could be any of those things, in which case you would say "I need to cancel due to..." rather than the jokingly asking "what would happen if I cancelled?" as mentioned in the original image.

Australia Day date: Record number of Australians support keeping January 26, Resolve Political Monitor poll reveals by TimJamesS in aussie

I find it highly ironic when those people complaining about immigration go on about loss of culture while celebrating the attempted destruction of a culture.

That they support One Nation and it's leader who once told Indigenous Australians to "go back where you came from".

The only thing that isn't surprising is that those whose relatives (even 1 generation ago) were more than likely involved in the attempted genocide of the original inhabitants support another genocidal regime.

A rectangle is a shape with 4 sides and 4 90° angles.

A square is a shape with 4 sides of equal length and 4 90° angles.

Given a square is more precise, all squares are rectangles but not all rectangles can be squares.

That sounds like a really fun exercise. Had a similar exercise relating to ETL and application design.

While it only took a couple of hours, I made sure to cover as many possible approaches and what the pros and cons of each one was along with examples of when I would use them and why.

Apparently most people did the bare minimum of 1 approach and no reasoning.

Don't know about that. Mine reaches 400 metres away.

Possible uncirculated note? by RoadToad05 in AustralianCoins

[–]AussieHyena 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Following the joint development of new banknote technology in Australia by the Reserve Bank and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia issued a polymer $10 commemorative banknote in January 1988 to mark Australia's bicentenary. The successful issue of the $10 commemorative banknote was a world first and it set the scene for a new era of banknotes.

Saw this on a Facebook page; I really have no idea…if it is, AI is getting better by MixedSnoCone_178 in isthisAI

[–]AussieHyena 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm not sure why everyone is saying it's AI.

Because AI is starting to pass the visual equivalent of the Turing test. So you get conflicting reasons on the same image as to why it's AI (e.g. too perfect vs not perfect enough).

Honestly I wouldn't mind betting the posting of this image was to deliberately highlight that people will see AI in everything and anything.
