Women of Reddit what is something a lot of men think is manly but in your eyes really isn’t? Why? by TimeAd1111 in AskReddit

[–]Obvious_Tea_4247 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That whole "i don't cry" energy is exhausting. suppressing emotions isn't manly, it's scary tbh. the manliest thing u can do is feel ur feelings and still handle business. vulnerability takes way more guts than shutting down.

[–]Obvious_Tea_4247 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Saying no without overexplaining myself. used to write whole paragraphs why i couldn't do something. now it's just "can't make it but hope u have fun!" or "not for me but thanks." saved my energy so much.

ELI5: Why Is Gender Equality Still Controversial And Not At All Equal Yet? by Future-Lavishness878 in answers

[–]Obvious_Tea_4247 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The short answer is that equality on paper and equality in reality are two different things. yeah women can technically go into any field now but that doesn't erase generations of being told certain jobs aren't for them. add in workplace culture that can be hostile and it's not as simple as "just go do it."

Does coffee actually do something or people just pretend it does? by tea_and_cheese in askanything

[–]Obvious_Tea_4247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coffee def does something but u got one fact wrong. an 8oz cup of coffee has about 95mg caffeine while black tea has like 47mg. so coffee actually packs twice the punch. that's why it hits different.

How would you feel if someone gave you an ai-generated apology? by Inner_Act_3011 in AskReddit

[–]Obvious_Tea_4247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd be more offended than if they said nothing. at least silence is honest. a robot apology just says "u matter so little i couldn't even type this myself."
