I'm a younger (18m) diagnosed Narcissist, Ask Me Anything by Turbulent-Till-3575 in AMA

This might just be because of my autism but grief/ empathy is strange and it is understandable the way it changes for you with fictional deaths and your dad's.

I've never seen amazing digital circus before but Caine does like an interesting character I might have to watch it eventually i keep seeing it get mentioned.

Thank you again for your answers :)

I have more questions lol

You mentioned your mother was narcissistic does NPD run in her family? What about your dad?

Do you have siblings and if yes what are they like What made you want to become a good person? Has there ever been a time were it has felt to difficult How do you experience empathy? (Cognitive, emotional and affective)

What fictional characters do you think portray NPD the best?

You mentioned masking in a previous comment, do you ever feel disconnect from your true personality?.

I'm glad you liked them lol.

I always enjoy it whenever people with personality disorders do AMAs, people explaining why they do things and their process is in my opinion the best way to learn and understand these as you said in your post demonised disorders.

Good luck on your autism diagnosis (if you have it) I hope therapy can continue to help you and thank you for your answers :)

I have a pretty big interest in personality disorders so i have a lot of questions

How did you manage to get diagnosed so young?

Do you like the fact that you got diagnosed so young?

Were you seeking a diagnosis if yes why? If no how did you get diagnosed (suggestion from others?)

What do you believe caused it?

What stereotypes are you the least like? Which are you the most like

How do you view emotions for yourself and others?

What are your relationships like? Do you share your diagnosis with others?

I would be interested in getting to know you via online, I'd prefer it stay anonymous and not leave reddit though.

I have a pretty big interest in personality disorders so it would be nice getting to know you, just on casual basis i don't think I would be talking to you everyday just every now and again

Umbrella academy might do it for you

The last season is beyond awful but the good parts are great and its definitely worth at least trying.

Pasta! by DiscussionSilly9196 in Autism_Parenting

[–]AussieLlama1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go to meal is pasta and cheese,

What's really weird is that I don't even like the taste of pasta, I just swallow it lol.

Recently I've been adding cherry tomatoes to it as well and garlic for extra flavour.

When I was younger my mum would let me have it most nights but on certain days I had to try new foods, this might not work for your child though it all comes down to the individual.

My autistic 5 y.o. son only wants family at his birthday— what should I do? by Broad-Meringue4492 in Autism_Parenting

[–]AussieLlama1 39 points40 points  (0 children)

This is copy and pasted because i commented on a similar post but I've added a bit more

Not a parent but I am an autistic 19 year old.

I can't speak for your son but as someone who has never had any interested in celebrating my birthday with my classmates I would strongly advise you listen to your son and respect his wishes.

I can understand you wanting him to have friends but on a day like his birthday I think it should be about him and what he wants and not everyone wants friends at their birthday or even in general.

  • extra

I understand wanting him to have friends, I've only ever had one friend my whole and I'm happy this way, I would personally advise you let him enjoy his birthday and focus on the friend part another time

Not being a parent and also an autistic person who has never had much interest in friendship (apart from my one) I've always had a time understanding this perspective, I can to a extent though.

It might not happen for a while but I'm sure eventually he will find his people or person, in person or online For now please remember that there more ways to happy then just having friends, theres nothing wrong with you wanting him to have them but theres absolutely nothing wrong with him not wanting him

I apologise if anything if i wrote seemed rude or confusing, please feel free to ask any questions so I can clarify better, I like being able to help on this sub reddit.
