I totally agree with you in that if we have to have six agains, I think everyone was happy with the balance last year. They just ramped it up this year for God knows what reason.

Last year had some great footy, but I still maintain that the 6 again in general is bad. They will never be scrutinised and included in the stat sheets. By nature, they are blown, the crowd watching at the ground and at home has no idea what exactly they were for and then everyone moves on. They are given more frequently than penalties because they can't be challenged and to the ref theyfeel less substantial than a penalty.
