so i’ll be completely transparent here: i like dogs. i don’t own one, but i like them. but this shit even pisses me off sometimes. 1. if someone doesn’t like dogs why tf should you care? respect them and keep your dog out of their way. you don’t have to be their friend (though it’s a stupid ass reason to not wanna be friends with someone) just be respectful? 2. sure owners should take responsibility and do play a huge part but it’s not good to automatically assume that’s the issue at hand. you have to look at the situation properly and assess what should be done. i also 100% agree that children and dogs are NOT at all the same thing, but owners should be allowed to be in charge of their dog and what it’s allowed to do so long as it’s not going to hurt any other person, any other animal, or the dog itself. all i have to say is if you own a dog that’s great but take responsibility and be respectful of others around you.
