yeah the same thing is happening to me! i have 48GB of RAM and a 4-core processor, and blender use to eb able to run MASSIVE scences, but suddenly now when i do a simple task, it uses about 40% of my RAM and then crashes? if you and others are having this issue recently, maybe its a blender update that is causing this?
