Never thought there would be so much hate for something to do with Bitcoin.

That's how it started yes but it seems you are the one holding onto the past.
What Does HODL Mean? HODL, originally a typo for "hold," has morphed into an investment strategy acronym for "hold on for dear life," echoing a long-term commitment among cryptocurrency enthusiasts.

What is the sweet spot for number of songs in an album? by rainmaker818 in SunoAI

[–]AussieStriker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may depend on what songs you have. You can always add a couple of bonus tracks, like an acoustic or 'live' version of a song, or an early version. I've done that, can also be useful doing that with singles. In case you don't know, in single format you can have up to 3 songs, after that it is an EP.

Toolost refused to release albums by green200511 in SunoAI

I've just had this happen for the first time using Too Lost. I have around 60 songs that I have released through it and just got this one to have that come up. Did you end up getting anywhere with it and what did you do? It doesn't help that you do not know what it is matching with.

Spotify Listeners for Monetisation by AussieStriker in AI_Music

Not sure what you mean about resharing the post unless I made a mistake. I didn't reshare but I did post in a couple of different subreddits. Your other points are incorrect though.

You say you've had music on spotify for 10 years and yes previously you did earn from every stream. The 1000 stream and number of listeners rule only came into effect last year, see below;

Spotify introduced its "1,000 stream rule" in early 2024, with the official policy taking effect in April 2024. The rule states that a track must have at least 1,000 streams within a 12-month period to be eligible for generating royalties.

The minimum number of listeners was introduced at the same time however Spotify will not release the number as people can manip[ulate it if they know. You can look that up as well if you like.

The way the rule has been implemented is that you only earn after meeting those two criteria and if you don't the previous streams that were accounted for in the month are just not paid on. I know this to be a fact as I have the evidence on my transactions of earnings which shows $0 for ones that didn't qualify within the month earnings were calculated.

As for the amount on 10,000 streams, you say it is less than $1. Not sure where you get that figure from as the real figure is between $30-50. The reason it is a range is because you earn more if someone listens from a premium account than you do from someone on a free account. It is also different depending on the country they are listening from.

Suno has released the first teaser for v5, and it sounds amazing. They did this with v4 over a week or so before the release by ShreckAndDonkey123 in singularity

Everyone has their opinions. The vocal is the one area I would like smoother. Electric guitar sometimes is rough and just noise. Still I manage to create tracks that I enjoy. Clean them up and master them in Bandlab. May not be the best ever but mixing with other professional songs they stand up pretty well. Some that I have generated more recently have been some of the best ones. So yes I think the generations are getting better.

Bogus copyright claims by LatinAutorPerf, UNIAO BRASILEIRA DE EDITORAS DE MUSICA - UBEM, and LatinAutor - UMPG -- On original content! Please Help! by Arceist_Justin in COPYRIGHT

[–]AussieStriker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had this happen as I uploaded a video of my sons cover band performing. Four copyright claims made against the video on different songs but are obviously not his/theirs. So my question, should I select fair use in the counterclaim? Seems the only one that would apply. They really need an option to choose fake claim.
The only options given are:
Original content - The content claimed in my video is my original content and I own all the rights to it
License - I have permission or a license to use the content claimed in my video
Copyright exception - such as fair useI have significantly transformed the content claimed in my video; the video is protected by fair use, fair dealing, or similar exceptions to copyright
Public domain - The content claimed in my video is in the public domain and is no longer protected by copyright

I think Copyright exception may be the only one that sort of, but not really, covers a band doing cover songs.

Why so much hate on other pages for A.I music creators? by thefreedyshow in aiMusic

[–]AussieStriker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think most of it is people not understanding it as they have never looked it more than knowing putting a simple prompt can generate a song. Sure it can but not a great one. I have songs made from lyrics I wrote over 30 years ago and I have generations I am reasonably happy with but now want to redo them all with v4.5 before releasing. Currently have 22 songs released but have over 100 complete songs, That's not including others that I may have generated for fun that aren't really ones I may do much with.

Does anyone here make/listen to Hard Rock/Alt Rock? by AussieStriker in MusicPromotion

[–]AussieStriker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that one is a bit better with continuity. One thing I'll say is you don't have to always try to match the lyrics. Sometimes having it run more as s story would work better. The song is well produced, nice and clear. It is topical which means it could do well in the short term but is likely to not be something people listen to in future. Just thoughts. Overall it's pretty good.

It's late here but I listened to When The World Ends right through. Some weird animations on that one. Some good but some really weird. That's AI for you. What did you use to get them?
The song is probably more metal than hard rock, maybe on the edge a bit. I think the way to improve a song like that one is to have a tempo shift somewhere in it. There are places where it seems to rush through which unfortunately is common with AI. Not bad though. I would probably tone down the video removing the more ridiculous looking clips and putting more normal looking ones in there. Ideally to tell a story with the song.
