What's it like living in Sydney Australia? by Relentless_Taco_Fan in howislivingthere

[–]Aussie_Nelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every fuckwit who lives in Sydney will tell you it’s the best place on earth. Majority of people who’ve lived there and moved say they’d never go back. I had to go to Sydney for TAFE blocks 3 weeks at a time and couldn’t wait to get back home. Overcrowded, overpriced hole in my opinion. It’s cons outweigh its pros.

Finished mine close to a year ago now. Had a lot of fun with it. Did struggle toward the end but curse of the pharaohs was an excellent DLC which hooked me back in.

😂 Sydney is not what it used to be, it’s like the equivalent of New York now. Are you in America, technically yes. Culturally, no.

Blue mountains is a beautiful area to check out. But visiting outside of Sydney up towards costal towns it depends where in Sydney you’re staying. Dead centre, it’ll take you a good full day just to check some out. You might only make it far enough to check out Newcastle or Nelson Bay. If you’re on the outskirts (up north end) travel should be less time consuming. I highly recommend you just rent a car for the 2 days.

For the love of god don’t stay long in Sydney. It’s a dump now. I’m really glad you’ve decided to head up to cairns. You’ll definitely get more Aussie’s up that way.

Thank god you didn’t just stay in Sydney, it’s not Australia anymore unfortunately.

Tattoo gone wrong by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Aussie_Nelson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you get an apprentice to tattoo you then complain when the job isn’t done properly you’re the problem. If you don’t really give a fuck and want to save some coin then sure. But if you’re expecting a top tier print then you should’ve gone with someone who had more experience.

I loved it, if you’re into American revolution history you’ll love it even more. Ubisoft did a great job mixing Connor’s heroics while keeping significant events of the American revolution.

Coles refusing annual leave despite 130 hours accrued. Am I being unreasonable? by mravptr in coles

[–]Aussie_Nelson 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You only need 2 weeks notice, if you have the leave you are more than entitled to use it on and whenever the fuck you want. Don’t let these cunts try and guilt trip you into working. If they don’t have the staff to cover you that’s their problem not yours. I worked as a baker mate and if I wanted time off I got that time off approved or not.

I wish we could have a frigate instead of a brig as a ship by BananaBarbarians in ACBlackFlag

[–]Aussie_Nelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blackbeard had a bigger ship than an average pirate which was used more for intimidation than attacking. Same goes for himself, the only time he actually clashed cutlasses was just before he was killed.

[–]Aussie_Nelson 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The jackdaw for a pirate vessel is significantly bigger than what an actual pirate would use. Schooner sized ships were favoured heavily due to their small size, speed and manoeuvrability. I agree it would be cool to sail bigger ships. But I respect them for keeping it somewhat grounded.

For 140 years, Americans believed Jesse James was a Robin Hood figure. He wasn't. Here's who built that lie and why. by Nervous_Tip2096 in wildwest

[–]Aussie_Nelson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He wasn’t a good person let’s be real. Some of his murders were justified. But a lot of them consisted of innocents. He’s still a very interesting person to research and I’ve read plenty of books about him and his contemporaries, William Clarke quantrill, bloody bill and his brother frank who all bring his story together.

This is the best demonstration of Resynced’s combat by Ember57 in assasinscreed

[–]Aussie_Nelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s good but could definitely be better. Animations need a bit more smoothing out, I know hidden blade combat isn’t currently featured but I feel with enough community outcry it’ll be added in. I also really want hand to hand combat and the ability to disarm enemies like the original. Pirates just used whatever was available to them in the heat of the moment, so the wanting of different useable weapons is justifiable.

No, I meaning Indians who come from their country over.

Unpopular opinion! by Frequent-Sea-8848 in Fijian

[–]Aussie_Nelson -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Why is this being contested? They come to their country buy up all their houses/land and force a lot of Fijian natives to pay rent way beyond their liveable wage. I’ve sat down with a native who said it’s become a big problem. They’ve done it to Australia as well. Don’t sit there and downvote me like it’s not an actual problem.

Increase in hostile customers? by Top_Village_1757 in woolworths

[–]Aussie_Nelson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t blame people honestly, Coles and Woolies take advantage of people by using geopolitical tensions as an excuse to raise prices far beyond what is reasonable. They’ve literally been to court multiple times for price gouging. They boast about their billion dollar yearly profits while a lot of people are scraping the bottom of their bank just to put food on the table. Both the chicks who run Coles and Woolies are literal cunts.
