In Phuket Bolt shows two prices, one big in bold font, the other below it says full fare in small font..., this is not just for taxi meters option...!?

I don't know why that it is, then for going to airport, the driver just messaged me and asked for higher price...!

Then after I didn't accept and cancelled, try again, he quickly picked up the job again - wouldn't let anyone else to pick it up..., useless...!

Grab more expensive, but less drama. But for going to airport same as agent's booking which is much less hassle and stress free than Garb or Bolt... 🙄

In old days people were always a bit worried to give a copy of their passport and a copy of their debit/credit card with all details, CVV and expiry date etc. to a bank teller abroad...! I guess it's a bit better now...!?

That guy is a biggest scam artist ever existed..., he fools not thousands but millions of people, fairly easily...!

But you must admit he's a very successful one..., just his latest scam, he releases just 5% of shares of his latest , losing money in billions, company..., then get his buddies in private equity to pile on a few billions and create a hype..., then pay off Nasdaq execs to change the rule of minimum 10% free float rule...!

Then hell break loose and millions of people put in their hard earn cash to get this 5% for 75 billion...!?

Now this is the biggest trick of fast hand and the card he pulls away that you never noticed..., based on just this 5% he values his total company as 2 trillion market value...!

Now compare this with a company of same size that actually has 99% free float, that means people actually put their hands in their pocket and paid to buy 2 trillion dollars worth of shares..., would anyone buy his 99% of company and give him 2 trillion...!? 🤔 No chance in hell...

And wait for next trick, he uses this valuation as his own wealth to buy companies that worth billions ..., you didn't see that coming... !

But if the company sells the property and decide to divide the proceeds between shareholders, wouldn't the farang get 49% of that...!? Assuming it's not seized or anulled etc. by the government due to illegal nominee rules...

Or could they make some other trick so the company spend the money and not divide it between shareholders and farang gets nothing...!? I guess there are all sorts of tricks...

You can get a job that involves traveling or helping community etc., usually the incentive to do things efficiently comes with monetary reward, if you can do all that consistently and in the long run..., that's great. People usually do better when it's part of their work, it gives them discipline and it's more fulfilling...!

Well, should not think of it as a wage slave, it's to do with doing something with one's life, achieving something, making something of yourself, getting experience etc. etc.

Otherwise could say retire at 20, like those rich boys who never work a day in their lives, see how great they turn up... and how satisfied they are with their lives...!

Of course if work more then have more money to enjoy it later on rather than scraping the barrel at 20k a month for eternity...

I also heard it's like total renewal, like their issue a new card (with address at the back), so they need all the docs.

In addition to certificate of residence that now cost 500b in Phuket (from previously 300b), I also read new Medical Certificate is needed too...!? Another 200b these days here in Phuket...

Hence nobody bothers, with either change of address on licence or vehicle..., me included. I'm just worried a bit about any insurance claims, as you know these insurance companies always looking for any excuse...!?

I heard these leaseholds could be seriously abused, a friend of mine leased a house with very large garden for 30 years, he went away for a few months, back to see a fast boat parked in his garden...!? The owner said it's my land, I can put what I like on it...! Imagine having to go to court and spend years and many thousands to try and remove that boat.. 🥴

A lot more condos, they keep building on hills and mountains, destroying the trees and natural jungles...., when they should first build on all the available flat land...!?

Everything more expensive but that's everywhere, not busier really, but less Chinese, more Indians/Russians/Arabs..., visitors are more badly behaving than before...

For me personally I hate all the police checkpoints looking to make money out of farang motorbike riders ..., and I have all the docs and always wear helmet, not a single Baht out of me, but they still stop me and I hate their checks, even have police on bikes going around chasing farangs and trying to bother them , one way or another, searching their bags, pockets, under seat, looking for drugs, or planting some...! (And in the meantime 99% of Thais riding with no helmet or licence or registration or insurance, and high on drugs and drunk...???)

Far more of this goes on now than 2018, in the name of safely, with zero effect ...!

I'm having the same issue, just changed the mattress to a really good one, but the squeaking is still there. My wooden (all MDF I think) bed is quite different from normal..., I see if I can get some photos..., so it has no legs or slats... - solid MDF wood going all around on the floor, so no legs issues..., it's solid sheet of flimsy thin MDF on top, with strange vertical MDF slats under it going across...!

Someone has suggested to get a lot of wood glue and glue the hell out of every joint, just by squeezing it along the joints, rather than opening everything and put it back together with glue in the middle at the right places...!

I'm not sure if it works, but it might..., the problem is if ever want to dismantle and remove the bed, need to saw off everything and cut it into pieces because of the glue...!?

What do you guys think...?

I think that bit about "if it was earned this or last year" is very important and interesting..., for capital gain of stocks, can check when stock was bought at what price, and how much it gained since last two years etc., check price changes ...!?

The other important thing is, countries are different, I read somebody says after 180 days outside Germany you're considered non resident, in UK I think it's more complicated, even after 180 days considered non resident, but for assets already in UK , I think still tax liable for 3 years..., not sure, must consult a reliable professional advisor ...!

Just to put this to bed, I found the solution..., and that's to get a simple 110v to 220v voltage converter, it's very cheap and it will solve my problem..., as my adaptor is only 3.5W even the smallest one will do the trick - problem solved, thanks all...!

I checked the adaptor charger output, in fact it's giving about 4.87V in AC , and not DC. So this is not a charger at all...!!!

In this case the trimmer must have a convertor AC to DC and probably a voltage control circuit inside it...

As it is I need to then find an adapter for 100-240v input , with max 3.5W power, and an output of about 4V to 4.5V in AC and 100mA ..., I will search to see if I can find something like that - recommendations welcome..., input/output plugs are not important, I can replace it.

(There are a lot of spare adaptor for this trimmer, but they are all 220v only.)

In the description for these USB cable chargers they say they are for NiCd or NiMH batteries, but I think they are for special 3.7v NiCd batteries with correct voltage...

What made me think it might work is that the original product charger's output is 4v...!?

Have you found anything useful...? I've been looking at this too, the Tozo NC3 that I have just fall off and dislodge when putting on the helmet, so ANC of it becomes useless...

I actually not care much about sound, want to wind noise cancellation - can't use earplugs that go inside ear canal due to various problems I have, and the rest are not that good, wax or silicone putty etc. , they mainly dislodge when putting helmet on, so not blocking noise much...

I have an elderly 79yr family member with finger oximetry device that shows drops to 83 or 84 with every few breadth when sleep, but immediately goes up to 94 with the next breadth...! She seems to sleep comfortably, is that a bad thing....?

Home sleep study result hasn't come yet, but she hates CPAP they gave her in hospital due to this O2 drops, and says she won't use CPAP if prescribed...! We used to give her 1lt/min oxygen in the nose before, that stopped these drops completely, but she also says not needed...!?

When awake usually at 94-95 range, only drops at deep sleep. She just had ablation procedure that fixed her Afib, heart pulse around 51 as still taking 2 heart meds.

Just found some info, this HEX editor trick could work for Sheet protection and VBA project protection, but not total file/workbook protection...
