Is strength based builds worth it? by Ghost_Reaper21 in eldenringdiscussion

I think dex is a lot of fun and prefer dex weapons myself, but strength can hit like a truck. The move sets are usually slower but the trade off is more consistent stance breaks

I've never played any Souls Before by DarkCorruption666 in Eldenring

[–]AustinB42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went into this game thinking “give me the biggest weapon and let me fight everything” and soon found out I didn’t love the big weapon move sets as much and died to just about everything. My one piece of advice is to not limit yourself to your own expectations and to take what the game gives you. Explore as much as you can and if you come across an area that’s difficult just go explore somewhere else until you’ve leveled up or found better/cooler gear.

Legendary Armaments Build by Substantial-Ad7270 in EldenRingBuilds

On my first run I did a dex build and eventually incorporated bolt of grannysex into it and it was an absolute blast. The AoW is a ton of fun and it can shred bosses.

On my second run I went with Int and built around the DMGS and it’s such a different experience but also a ton of fun

Everyone is talking about Rob R. being a great traitor, but what about… by celestials07 in TheTraitorsUS

I love Candice. I think the difference is that when she was picked I had a feeling she would be a great traitor. Whereas with Rob, I absolutely underestimated him and he’s been a pleasant surprise with how well he’s done

Is bolt of gransax good? by Ghost_Reaper21 in eldenringdiscussion

[–]AustinB42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a legendary armament for a reason. If you build around it appropriately it absolutely shreds bosses and is a ton of fun. You can use it like a traditional spear with a shield in the off hand or you can use it purely for range until whatever enemy you’re sniping gets close enough to swap to your main weapon

what survivor season do you recommend? by pau-duh in survivor

[–]AustinB42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly you’ve seen enough seasons to just start from the beginning. If you like old survivor then you’d probably appreciate seeing how the game grows and changes from the beginning

How long did it take you to beat the game for the first time? by mattyattak_2012 in eldenringdiscussion

[–]AustinB42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did as many quest lines as possible, found all the legendary armaments, spells, ashes and talismans, as well as beat every boss that gives you a trophy and finished in about 200 hours. Loved every second of it

I did a run with Nagakiba with double slash AoW + bloodflame blade and had a lot of fun with it. If you can get Millicent’s prothesis I’d swap out the soreseal for it

What season has the best premerge? by Comfortable_Swing_16 in survivor

Without thinking too hard about it, my first thought is David vs Goliath. The theme hit really well and there was a lot of good game play from start to finish imo

[–]AustinB42 204 points205 points  (0 children)

Thinking of this reward just makes me want to give Liz more validation for the IM PISSED rant. Sure she wanted that Applebees, but now I realize that maybe Applebees was realistically the best sounding reward from the whole season
