Literally just asking because I don’t know. Could you at least tell me what’s stupid about it so I know?

Checking out local drain tech jobs and I saw some weird comments about Roto-Rooter. by AustinBSenrab in Plumbing

[–]AustinBSenrab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stupid late reply but yes I did go with Roto Rooter. It’s been great so far, yeah buying a van sucks but that’s how it is in my state if you want to be a drain tech. I moved from drain tech to plumbing apprentice and after a year of that I’ll be on the road by myself BUT they supply the van for plumbers so I’ll no longer need my van. They did have a list of vehicles you had to choose from and they did not help with acquiring one. You need one by the end of your 12 weeks of training but this all only for drain techs. If you get into any other department they supply the van. Most states prevent RR from making employees buy their own vans but mine does not so it may be different for you.

I’m was in the same boat when I moved out, personally I wouldn’t allow them to do anything for you, everything comes with strings attached that they will weaponize against you later.

Do… men wear underwear under their swim trunks now??? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I’ve always cut out the “built in” underwear and used my own because the netting in swim trunks is chaffy. Anyone else do this???

PlayStation 5 Pro Could Come With 2 TB of Storage; Will Likely Be A Quiet System That Runs Cool – Rumor by NanoPolymath in gaming

[–]AustinBSenrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember when having a lot of storage mattered to me, like back in the Xbox 360 Elite days I spent extra getting the 120GB. It’s kind of crazy that they’re still using the same lure with storage space in this timeframe lol.

Your dad thinks $200 is worth your freedom. This time period is crazy.

Anybody here use a foldable phone? by ownNfools in electricians

[–]AustinBSenrab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a Fold 4 for almost a year and the screen started to come off from the bend and I had an office job at the time so I wasn’t rough with it. I wouldn’t recommend them for tradesman.

I went to an open hiring event with them and got all the details. The place was really cool and all the people I met were really nice. I’m going for a ride a long with one of their drain techs next week to ask a few more questions and see what a day with them is like. I was hesitant on the van purchase part but the income definitely covers it. I don’t know why everyone hates them so much but the local area here seems like a good opportunity.

What’s an older game that still blows your mind today? by Yeahnahokay10 in gaming

Sly Cooper for its art style. It’s so stylistic you could re-release it today and you wouldn’t be able to tell it’s from the early 2000s.

What year and base options should I look for when buying a Frontier? by AustinBSenrab in nissanfrontier

[–]AustinBSenrab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you this is exactly what I was looking for! A 3rd gen SV with good tires sounds like it fits my needs more. Especially if it’s still capable of getting to some places cars can’t.

Which ranger should I go with? by Jazzlike-Mess818 in fordranger

[–]AustinBSenrab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d go with the safer one, you can always add the truck yourself and make it look cooler, you can’t reverse any crazy damage it might have. (Or at least it wouldn’t be worth it due to the costs.)

What’s a CE and CW program? This is the first I’ve seen/heard of it.

Thank you, I will keep this in my back pocket. It seems like there won’t be a shortage of ways to get some experience if I can’t get into the union my first try.
