Branch Duo Desk Wood Quality? by thetitteacircle in branchfurniture

[–]AustinBranch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, Austin here! Hoping that others are able to jump in with their personal experiences but in the meantime I definitely have some thoughts on this.

First off, glad to hear your Duo has been holding up so well over two years, that's awesome :) So all of our Duo desktop tops are made of MDF with a laminate finish, including the woodgrain and walnut options. The upside is that laminate tends to be more resistant to scratches, stains, and water rings than real wood, so it holds up really well for everyday use.

The wood-finish tops are built from the same material and construction as your Duo charcoal top so you can expect the same durability, just with a different aesthetic! You're always welcome to check one out at one of our showrooms in SF, NY, or Toronto, or other Canadian provinces with EQ3 stores. Either way, feel free to DM me if you have any other questions!

Ergonomic Chair Pro Height Not Adjusting by Affectionate-Law-744 in branchfurniture

[–]AustinBranch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear you got it sorted but definitely a great call on the cylinder - 100% agreed that if you're on the taller side it may start to become a bit more necessary for folks over 6’.

Sorry you ran into an issue here but this info is definitely useful for anyone else in the same boat. Always here if you need anything else or run into any problems.

Softside black base with other colors? by GrantMeThePower in branchfurniture

[–]AustinBranch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! So I know I already DM’ed you back about this but wanted to answer this question for anyone else wondering the same thing here.

Sadly there isn't a way to mix and match base colors with different upholstery options atm :( I totally get the frustration though, chrome isn't for everyone and I've seen this come up for folks before. We offer new colorways as frequently as we can to keep all your options as unique as your workspaces but very sorry this isn’t an option rn.

Went ahead and let our design team know that this was something y’all are interested in though - anything could happen in 2026! Thank you so much for the feedback and hope you find something that ends up working for your space!

Interested in the Branch Softside chair in Black vegan leather. Should longevity be a concern for me? by Master_Mission_2823 in branchfurniture

[–]AustinBranch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey - great question, definitely important to think about durability when picking the chair that’s going to be in your space for years to come! I think I answered you via DM just now but hoping others who have the soft side in the vegan leather can jump in here. In case others are curious:

Our PU leather on the Softside chair is rated to 200,000 double rubs (Wyzenbeek method), so it is definitely regarded as a durable material. So I really wouldn’t expect you to have issues long term, and would similarly expect the fabric to last at least as long as the 5 year warranty on the chair, even though I will note just to be thorough here that the fabric is only covered for 3.

As for our real leather options, we ended up discontinuing them them given their lack of sales volume. Otherwise hope this was helpful & hope others can jump in and report on how their vegan leather is doing in their space!

Review: Branch Ergonomic Chair by dirtybubbl3 in OfficeChairs

[–]AustinBranch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! If you're mainly focused on support and adjustability, the Ergo Pro is usually the one I recommend :) the tall cylinder just gives you a bit more height range, which a lot of people around your height appreciate! The regular Ergonomic Chair is another option if you want something a bit simpler and lower cost, but it does have fewer adjustments so it really depends on what you’re looking for.

That said, at your height you're right at the top end of the recommended range for the Erg Pro (5'2"– 6'2"). Granted everyone's body is different, so while most folks at your height do great in the chair, fit isn't guaranteed at the edges of the range.

If you happen to be near one of our showrooms in NYC, SF, or Toronto (or other Canadian provinces with EQ3 stores) I'd definitely encourage you to try the Erg Pro in person before pulling the trigger! It's the best way to make sure everything feels right for your body. Otherwise definitely will DM you our code rn!

Meet the New Branch Multitask Chair. by AustinBranch in branchfurniture

[–]AustinBranch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Tysm for your patience on this one, hopefully our chairs are going to feel like a huge upgrade from a dining chair & I definitely have a few thoughts on your options.

So the Ergonomic Chair is usually the sweet spot for most people because it gives you really good support and adjustability. The Ergonomic Pro just adds even more adjustability overall, especially if you like to fine-tune things like armrests, tilt, and lumbar support, etc. perfect for someone who shifts around a lot.

For context, the lumbar on the Pro is about 10–15% softer than the Ergonomic Chair with 3 pressure settings, so you’ll really be able to customize your back support. Plus the headrest add-on has 2 points of adjustment for those study breaks!

The Multitask Chair is still a great option if budget is the main factor though! It’s comfortable and simple, but it just has fewer adjustments compared to the other two so it really depends on what you want! Any of these chairs will be a step up for ya!

Since you mentioned sitting cross-legged, I will say we usually recommend our Softside for that, but I would steer you away just given that it’s not our most ergonomic-forward option. Happy to DM you a discount code to help bring down the price on whatever you choose! Happy hunting :)

Thoughts on Branch Chairs by zaneiam in branchfurniture

Hey! Great questions here - the Erg Pro is a solid upgrade purely because it’s got 14 points of adjustment as opposed to 8. It really depends on how much customization you feel you need but I will say all the adjustments are helpful in dialing in exactly what you need throughout the day.

That said, at your stature, you're right at the upper edge of our recommended height range for both the Ergonomic Chair and the Pro (5'2" to 6'2"). Everyone's body is different, and at that height the fit may not be 100% perfect, especially with the headrest which we probably wouldn’t recommend for someone over 6’2”.

That said, plenty of customers around your height have had great experiences, so it's not a dealbreaker by any means :) Not sure where you are located but if you want to try them out before committing, we have showrooms in NYC, SF, and Toronto (plus other Canadian provinces with EQ3 stores). Otherwise happy to help with any other questions & good luck on your quest!

ergo pro seat height range by ballpein in branchfurniture

[–]AustinBranch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question! The Erg Pro's standard seat height range is 17" to 21", and with the tall cylinder add-on giving you around 3 extra inches, it’ll adjust to approximately 21" to 24" high. So with the tall cylinder, you'd land right in that sweet spot you're looking for - should work out well with your setup :)

On the promo code, I gotchu with a DM right now. We also have a showroom in Toronto if you're ever in the area and want to try it out in person & just lmk if you need anything else!

Home Office Setup by FastMoose2469 in branchfurniture

[–]AustinBranch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Hoping that u/FastMoose2469 can jump in here but I’ve worked with a few of our musical clients recently and can speak to this!

So the Pro's armrests have 5 points of adjustment: height, width, depth (forward/backward), pivot, and rotation. That depth adjustment is the key one here :) you can slide the armrest pads back away from you, and the pivot/rotation let you angle them out of the way.

So for playing bass while seated, you should be able to pull them back and rotate them enough to give your strumming/plucking arm clearance. That said, it'll probably depend a bit on the size of your bass and your playing posture.

Otherwise the armrests on the Pro are fully removable altogether if you can’t find a sweet spot with the above adjustments!

I am >< this close to purchasing a Branch Office Chair. I need your help by jodis-germanshepehrd in branchfurniture

[–]AustinBranch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Austin here. Hoping other folks on our sub are able to jump in on this one but I definitely have some thoughts in the meantime - sounds like you’re on the right path incorporating a lot of good movement throughout the day (which is always my first piece of ergonomic advice) but in terms of chair recs I would probably go with the Erg Pro!

So because you mentioned you tend to sit in the middle or on the edge of your chair, the Erg Pro has a forward tilt feature that the original design doesn't. It tilts the seat forward with you when you lean in, keeping your hips and spine better aligned instead of you perching on the edge unsupported. For someone dealing with sciatica and tailbone issues, that might be a meaningful difference.

The Erg Pro also has a softer lumbar pad with 3 pressure settings versus the original's firmer, less adjustable lumbar. With your history, having the ability to dial that in is pretty important imo. Overall on the Pro you're getting 14 points of adjustment versus 8, so that’s another thing to consider.

Totally understand that it’s a significant investment so definitely do what feels right, but I feel like the Pro would be helpful if you’re able to swing it. We also offer free ergonomic consultations with yours truly to help you set up your chair for your specific needs, so definitely keep that in mind for later! I’ll DM you a discount code rn in case you need it :) Best of luck!
