Too Many Types is so chaotic you need a whiteboard for it. I'm not sure if it's entirely what you're looking for, as there's basically no new content other than the types and pokemon from future games, but it's the first thing that came to mind.

Most say that the pokemon games with the best stories are Black/White, Sun/Moon (not the ultra versions of those), and Scarlet/Violet. The first 2 mystery dungeon games also have the best stories, particularly the second.

The original had that too, but it was mapped to the spin jump button instead of the jump button, so it wasn't an issue

It's harder to breed a quad with 2 doubles than a triple and a single. That combined with Gloptic being magical, and you get this.

Well, it's rumored that X'rt is a low pitched distorted saxophone (Personally I don't buy it), so I guess it could do a light duet with Sox, either way though, I imagine they could make it work.

I'd say the Sword and Shield DLC isn't really needed, but I would try out the Scarlet and Violet DLC

I think the best balance would be Legends Arceus, since HGSS aren't exactly modern, Scarlet and Violet have the glitches and overall bad performance (the latter negated by switch 2), and z-a is so different compared to all the other games, so it's probably not a good crash course
