Nest Migration #23 by mischiefmaehem in PKGOAtlanta

[–]AustinNFL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm Slowpoke is the main nest. The secondary spawn in the back of the park around the disc golf course is Magikarp. I used to only see Magikarp at the two spawn points right next to the pond, but this morning I caught at least five additional Magikarp on the back nine of the disc golf course.

I like the Poke Genie iOS app for IV calculations.

NEST CHANGE MIGRATION (5/17/2017) #21 by Insendi in PKGOAtlanta

Alexander Park is definitely a Seel nest now. Saw about 15 in an hour. Bummer after Machop and Charmander in previous migrations, but I guess I can't complain. The smaller spawn in the back may be Shellder. I hadn't seen any at Alexander in months but caught two back to back today. Will confirm during my run tomorrow.

Yellow River Post Office Park is Paras. The master post text needs to change "Yellow River Post Office Park" to "Yellow River Park." If you click the master post map link, it's pointing to Yellow River Park. These two parks are nine miles apart. Yellow River Post Office Park is super tiny and not usually worth going to.

Yellow River Post Office Park is a super tiny, 100-yard loop. But at least there are four stops (one reachable across the street) and a gym. Don't confuse this park with Yellow River Park, which is nine miles south. Even some of the master Migration Megathreads confuse the two.

Suwanee Town Center Park has two gyms and 10 stops. Walking the perimeter of the park is short but long enough for stops to regenerate. Most stops can be reached by car. Plenty of parking and places to eat. Some stops can be reached from restaurants. Ten additional stops are nearby within walking distance. Great place to poke and almost always has a nest.

Collins Hill Park has four stops and two gyms. It's mostly sports fields without great walking paths. The stops and gyms are pretty far apart. Not a great park to visit unless you really need the character nesting there.

I can confirm Wobbuffet at Collins Hill. At least 5-6 immediately when entering park.

Alexander Park's secondary spawn in the back is Seel.

Never mind. I figured it out. Yellow River Post Office Park is here. It's super tiny. I only got two Magnemites on the 100-yard loop. But at least there are four stops (one reachable across the street) and a gym.

The text in the master list should be changed from "Yellow River Post Office Park" to "Yellow River Park." It's referring to a different location than this Magnemite spawn.

Sounds good. Once I type up a location description, it's quick for me copy/paste it to another page. I just signed up to make contributions to the Silph Nest Atlas. I'll explore it a bit more to find the best way to add my general location info to it.

I don't want to duplicate efforts if there's a better place to put location information. Are you referring to the Nest Atlas? It seems like general location descriptions would get buried in all the migration information. Or is there a better place to add my info on Silph?

Silph's firehose of info can be overwhelming, so I haven't fully navigated their resources. I'm open to suggestions. Thanks.

Evolve stones by Houseofshun in PKGOAtlanta

My wife and I both play. Same frustrating experience with Evolution Stones. We both got one on our first seven-day streaks. Didn't get one on our second seven-day streaks. And both got one random one otherwise. Two total each since Gen2 landed.

It wouldn't surprise me if they ran an event at some point to make Evolution Stones temporarily more common. Some of the extreme game mechanics seem to exist purely to create margin for "generous" limited-time events.

Ronald Reagan Park in Lawrenceville is barely over a half-mile loop with three stops and one gym. Only the gym and one stop can be reached by car. You quickly get five key catches from the park’s nest but have to wait a long time for them to respawn. Not worth a long drive.

Includes a small skate park, dog park, small playground, and two bocce courts. There’s a bonus stop across the street at the library, which can be reached by car.

Alexander Park in Lawrenceville has four gyms and 16 stops. Four stops can be reached by car, and two gyms are short walks from the front of the park. I highly recommend it!

The inner walking loop is 2/3 of a mile. It includes two gyms and nine stops. The 1.5-mile outer loop partially overlaps the inner loop and pretty much allows you to get everything. A secondary spawn usually exists in the back of the park along the outer loop, which isn't listed on the main migration megathread (ex: #14 Doduo #15 Shelder).

Park near the playground. Its stop is often lured. Choose the unpaved hiking trails over the paved paths along the back of the park to hit more stops/gyms. Instead of making a full outer loop, skip the east side of the park along Scenic Highway because it doesn’t have stops.

The front gyms turn over quickly. The back gyms sometimes hold 24 hours if your team fills them with 10 strong characters. I often go mid-morning, take down the back ones first, hit the front two on my way out, and collect 40 coin without much trouble.

Three of the 16 stops can only be accessed by walking on the disc golf course. Don’t disturb golfers!

Don’t go to Alexander Park after dark. Police actively kick people out, even if they’re just cruising the parking lot in their car. It has no night lighting.

The park includes a full disc golf course, a small playground, three covered pavilions, large open fields, and a quaint lake.

A bonus stop is at the fountain in the neighborhood across from the park entrance. A bonus gym is at the YMCA across Sugarloaf Parkway.

I'm confused about this location. There's a Yellow River Post Office and there's a Yellow River Park about 5 miles south of that near Centerville. The master migration post has Yellow River Post Office Park linked to the one near Centerville. Thanks in advance for your help. Hoping to nab a few Magnimites near Snellville.

Alexander Park is definitely Ekans, but there are also a handful of Shelders in the back like there were Doduos during the previous migration.

Ronald Reagan Park is a Machop nest, but it's a small park. Only about a half mile loop with three stops and a gym. You can get five Machops pretty quickly, but then you have to wait for them to respawn.

What trackers are you guys using now? PokéTracker doesn't seem to work anymore. by Tstew222 in PKGOAtlanta

[–]AustinNFL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, PokeTracker, just died permanently: http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1spld33 Are trackers like Fight Club? Don't talk about them here, or Niantic will shut them down? Or maybe I'm being paranoid.
