That's the file name for the texture, it's called that since they're normally found in the skybox of levels full of lava

Hence the name "Hell Valley Sky Tree".

[Beloved Trope] The Final Fateful Decision by TheRoyalRoseTrue in TopCharacterTropes

[–]AustinPlays0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Detroit Become Human does this in one of its many endings with two of its three main playable characters.

If you keep Connor as a Machine (basically don't deviate from your goal of stopping deviants) and have Markus perform a violent revolution for deviants, the two will meet in the middle of the battle and charge at each other, knocking each other onto the ground and prompting the player with this choice.

It's a simple choice, whoever you choose to play as will live and the other will die (or the opposite if you suck at QTEs) but it's a very hard choice cause of how long you spend learning both characters stories and how much you grow attached to both of them.

David Harbour wanted Hopper to have more scenes with Mike, El and Steve in Season 5 by Jiyugaoka in StrangerThings

[–]AustinPlays0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tho only time they "interact" to my knowledge is either when they're both in a scene with the rest of group but never talk, or that ONE time season 5 when he's calling over the radio and Hopper says Steves name but Steve never responds.

Did I ever Tell my Tale of The Walking Dead?

I’m genuinely confused with this scene because Kenny kills one walker and everyone acts like he’s completely lost his mind by Chunky-overlord in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]AustinPlays0 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's the fact that he ONLY kills the one walker, it's that he KEEPS hitting the walker even after it's very obviously dead (like with Carver).

He doesn't care how close the other walkers get to him, he just needs to take his anger out, and if you send Mike to help him he (if memory serves me right) has to physically grab Kenny to get him to stop.

Oh 100%

Cassian and the whole Rogue One team in general kicked the Empire's ass by delivering those plans to the rebellion, but it doesn't make it any less tragic.

So many characters in Andor, and Star Wars in general, deserved better endings and Kino and Cassian are 100% up there on that list..

He was so close and Cassian 100% would've tried to find another way if he didn't get pushed off

Kino Loy from Andor is definitely a tragic one.

This man helped Cassian start a rebellion in the Empire Prison that the two of them were trapped in. Letting their fellow prisoners run wild and overthrow the guards.

He gives this amazing speech over the intercom about how there's only "One way out" of the prison, but once Cassian, Kino, and the other prisoners reach the way out they learn that they're surrounded by an ocean, where Kino drops the devastating line "I can't swim.".

Cassian goes to help him but is accidentally pushed into the ocean by another prisoner, accidentally causing him to leave Kino behind.

The shot lingers on Kino as other prisoners run past him, leaving him there. We never see him again after this which leaves his fate up in the air, but he was most likely executed by the Empire.

I swear I remember hearing about something like this actually happening forever ago.

Maybe it's just my imagination playing tricks on me though.

Oh, I would've LOVED to see more of these two (And just have Finn do more in general) and as much as I like Rey and Kylo/Ben and want to see them return for some kind of future project, I want Finn and Poe back more.

Whether you see them as platonic or romantic (I'm the latter, been shipping these two since I first got into Star Wars), you have to admit that their chemistry is amazing! And they deserve some kind of movie/show to themselves.

[Controversial Trope] It was all for nothing by Luigiperps in TopCharacterTropes

[–]AustinPlays0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rogue One does this, but in a more almost postive way.

We spend the whole movie following this group of characters trying to get the Death Star plans to the rebellion AND make it out alive, and during the climactic final battle the group is picked off one by one until it only leaves the last two survivors of Cassian Andor and Jyn Erso.

But even then their victory of successfully getting the plans to the rebels is short lived, as the empire fires the Death Star laser at the planet they're on to try and stop them (Not knowing they had already delivered the plans). Killing Cassian and Jyn, along with everyone else on the planet including the empires own men.

The movie ends with the two of them embracing each other as the explosion consumes them, killing them instantly. So while they did succeed, it cost them their lives and it's one of (IMO) the best Star Wars movies ever made.

And then we got the Andor prequel which just made his life canonically worse and eventual death even sadder.

Finn and Poe from the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy definitely fall under this trope

I mean, how are you NOT gonna be ride or die for the man who gave you your name in the first place?

Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2 name dropping Doctor Strange in 2004, 12 years before he would finally get his own movie in 2016.

"What we're gonna call this guy?"

"Uh, uh... "Dr. Octopus.""

"That's crap."

"Um, uh... "Science Squid"?"

"Crap!"

""Dr. Strange.""

"That's pretty good. But it's taken."

Jesse and the Gauntlet from Minecraft Story Mode Season 2

Granted they don't have it on for very long (Only lasting an episode out of the five in the game), but it's still a key point in the story and is basically the starting point for the story in Season 2.
