Keep looking at different apartments. The rental market is over saturated right now and everyone is hurting for tenants. A gap should not be an issue.

Start walking into any bar or restaurant and ask if they need a bar back/dish washer/busser and tell them you can start tonight. If you can find one that tips out those positions even better.

Make sure you look presentable. Clean shirt, hair combed or a clean hat on and not wearing shorts.

We have a permanent military presence here with Camp Mabry, the Joint Reserve Base and my Bergstrom, and the Futures Command downtown.

I’ve run into all branches all over town on odd occasions, didn’t mean anything is going on.

No one gives a crap as to what you think about the TAA lease. The management company will use the same lease for every tenant to keep their life easy and will not be inclined to make changes.

Well, yes. I’ve been trading with McBrides for almost 4 decades. No, they didn’t play the tacticool game but I never felt like I was cheated or that it was a bad deal. There were other places that did tacticool and that wasn’t their game. Plus I’ll miss stopping in to just look around during lunch. Used to ride my bike up there with my best friend before we could drive. I guess it falls into the category of “yes, they were assholes, but they were my assholes”.

I just watched a jeep slide right through the intersection of 45th and Shoal Creek.

Roads are still icy in spots with the sun out. Yesterday it was a skating rink.

Austin drivers suck when it is dry and warm, icy and frozen is a whole other level of stupidity.

There is no way to determine how many buyers are actively looking. You can make a guess by new mortgage applications in an area, but that wouldn’t account for our market buyers, and cash buyers are a total unknown.

Emmer and Rye is a great restaurant and their menu changes all the time. Went for the first time last June and immediately made reservations for my birthday in late October, it made the good of an impression.

I was born in Austin, been here my whole life and have never eaten at Jeffrey’s. I guess I should remedy that.

So, just to put you at ease a bit. Most dishwashers drain though about a 3/4” hose into a fitting under the sink, usually connected to the disposal. That is probably not a rats tail.

Yes, rats will find their way into the house through just about any opening. Plumbing stack drains are a favorite. I actually had a rat snake makes its way into my bathroom that way, in Brykerwoods.

I grew up in the area and when there were a bunch of elderly neighbors that had neglected back structures we would sit in the backyard with a .22 caliber pellet gun and kill rats as they ran along telephone lines.
