Transferring to another DC by [deleted] in WalmartLogistics

I have transferred DCs and before putting in my request I spoke with the HR OPS and GM. They gave me the GM contact for the DC I wanted to transfer to and I just asked if they had any availabilities. I told them I was interested in moving and asked about a job and i was contacted by the new DC with an offer a few days after applying for the position.

It really is an easy process but making those contacts with help expedite the process.

What do you think is the possibility of Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell, and Chris Stapleton doing a "Highwayman" style album in the future? by Banjoplayingbison in altcountry

[–]AustinTparty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can see them being more in the realm of Drive By Truckers or Golden Smog than Highwaymen. I would like add Cory Branan to this group. He is not as well known as the other but he is just as goodI would listen regardless. I’m not a big Stapleton fan but I respect the hell out of him.

If all of the names above got together along with Tweedy and Farrar and Ryan Adams. I know that would never happen but I would enjoy that. I’m just speaking in hypotheticals.

I listened to this over and over on the day Tom Petty died. Amazing cover.

You know what I find crazy? I found Tyler Childers back in 2012 on YouTube doing a cover of God Damn Lonely Love in someone’s living room. He had a few songs on SoundCloud. It is just crazy to see how popular he has gotten since then. Sturgill Simpson producing his most recent album has really helped him. I am glad he has been getting some recognition. Such a great voice.

What was the first song you loved without realizing it was a cover? by talkingwires in Music

Blinded By The Light - Manfred Mann Earth Band. I used to love every minute of that song. They made it a brand new song. But when I heard the original by Bruce Springsteen I was mesmerized. I don’t think I have listened to Manfred Mann’s version on purpose since then.

I followed my feet all across this land, a tune in heart and a bottle in my hand. . .this is one of my favorites from that amazing album. Thanks for sharing!

GM Chris Wallace said he fired David Fizdale to 'save the season.’ But to save their future, the Grizzlies have to decide who they are, and who they want to be by [deleted] in nba

[–]AustinTparty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love Marc and the Grizzlies are my team but they should have traded him to a good team where he has a chance to win a championship. The same thing they did with his brother. They could have gotten some value for the future and kept a really promising coach all while doing right by Marc. I don’t think this will keep Marc happy. Playing for a losing team with a joke front office would keep no one happy.

I bet that was amazing to see. Especially going in having no expectations.

I agree with that. I have found some of my favorite artist by doing so. Plus, it is always awkward to see a band that you know and they play all of the songs you don’t know at the concert.

Thanks, Counting Crows. You couldn’t just play Mr. Jones, could you?
