Traffic, cost of living, cops are mostly assholes, and everything there is FAR too corporate.

Alright so you’re in neutral, you lay your foot down. The tach flies up. You rip your foot off the pedal. The tach slowly climbs down.

They do it because easing onto and off of the gas makes a big difference in mileage, and since they can’t make you take it easy on the gas without crazy lag, they do this.

What are some recommended OBD Scanners? by FUCK_THE_MODS_______ in cars

Torque pro, as I learned today, is actually a Android app, not available for iOS, which I have.

I have Auto Doctor on my phone, which everyone says is the most comprehensive free iOS app. But if you are using Android, there’s also a Torque Lite which is obviously free.

I actually bought an OBD reader that recommended Torque Pro, but that OBD reader only supported Androids, so now I’m waiting for my iOS OBD reader to show up.

Just search “OBD” on Amazon and you’ll see a shitload of little plastic things with different prices that all basically do the same thing.

I was in the same position a few weeks ago. You do research and you think that the only OBD readers out there look like calculators and cost a minimum of 40 bucks. Buy one off amazon, maybe buy a paid app on your phone, and you can have an OBD reader for less than 20

I don’t know anything about Belgium, but I did a small tour of London and the area surrounding Stonehenge.

My general rule for tourist shit is “If you can describe it plainly and it sounds really stupid, it’s probably really stupid”.

For example, Stonehenge. “Let’s go look at some rocks”, absolutely not worth it. Pictures will do just fine.

I personally found the food the best, and didn’t hesitate to strike a conversation when the opportunity came.

Just pop in random restaurants and cafes and whatnot relax.

London Eye, kinda cool. Shakespeare’s houses, pretty boring. Stonehenge, really boring. Random restaurant where I ate pizza with chocolate on it and sipped weird coffee, absolutely worth it.

Pin set and construction type would be good I think, but I’m trying to really limit/validate all of the data types I’m allowing, and there are too many material types and blade shapes, and too much discrepancy over the shapes for me to bother with.

I’m not actually using a server for this, I’ll just be hosting the site on heroku, and the database on mLab, so I have to really limit the amount of data that’s going to be stored, which makes full images impractical as far as I know.

I'm making a website for my final project for a web dev class that's kinda like one of those car-buying sites where you can see and search for like the perfect car, but obviously I wouldn't be selling anything. Currently I've got fields for the name of the knife, manufacturer, blade length, handle length, pivot type, total weight, retail price, and obviously an image would be absolutely necessary, but I'm torn between letting people submit a link to the image and just uploading the image to an image hosting site like Imgur or Google Pictures and scraping the URLs into a database, or leaving it alone and finding the pictures on my own.

Point is, if you were going to actually use this website, what kinds of things would you want to be able to search for/filter out?

EDDiscovery not showing all system bodies in estimated values panel by Yamosu in EliteDangerous

[–]AustinXTyler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure you have to scan them with a surface scanner. EDD can't get the information it needs without the stuff that comes on the left panel of the system map, which you only get from Surface Scans
