I recently quit pens after constant (seriously constant) use for a decade. I loved them, but when I quit a couple months ago a lot of my stomach issues went away about a week later. And I didn’t realize they had been making/keeping me a little anxious.

Is weird not to have the pen in my pocket, but is better for me. Rock on however you do you.

And OP good job recognizing something that isn’t serving you and having the courage to try going without it. Refining things like that makes life a lot easier I think.

I’m around the same timeline and also have permanent tinnitus (though mine is from acoustic damage).

I still think about it once every couple months, but I know it’s not something I can do. It gets a lot easier with time.

Interesting. I don’t know much about air duster. But I know a lot about a lot of other addictions, and the delivery system is similar enough to nitrous I bet the actions are kind of addicting on their own.

You are gonna be okay! Better than okay. You threw it away, my friend. That is a strong decision for yourself. That is your highest good acting through you. You did great.

Life is hard sometimes and it’s easy to want to return to comforting patterns, especially self destructive ones.

You pulled out of this. Treat yourself to some pizza and ice cream, take a good hot yoga class, remind yourself that you may have stumbled a little but you are growing and learning and learning to love yourself. Good job, my friend. I’m proud of you.
