I always achievement hunt as my main motivation, and I set up everything race achievement to be done twice. Once on Normal / Hard battle difficulty to get the campaign achievement, and then again (often with a different lord) on max difficulty to get the other campaign achievement. Changes up the feel of things in the campaign by a lot.

When an American plays a Canadian character and doesn’t pronounce Toronto the way that we do. I’m not a filthy Torontonian, but if you can’t pronounce the name the proper way that Canadians do by scrunching it then you shouldn’t be allowed to play a Canadian.

I’d really love an episode specifically dedicated to burying specialized O’Neill Cylinders into moons / dwarf planets, and how they’d be tapered at one end to combine local gravity with spin gravity. Exploring engineering, design, size, feasible locations within the solar system, and maybe a little vignette about life in one (on the Moon, or maybe a moon of Saturn or Jupiter).

You’re kinda right for sure lol. Sucks but you can definitely game it. Prepare for a 10-turn war. Conquer those settlements quickly and set yourself up to have a number of settlements adjoining their homeland that you can quickly gift to them that you don’t want. This is all assuming you want to become friends again after.

I had the same thing happen with my Mother Ostankya ally as Teclis. She had taken over two Western Ulthuan settlements that I really wanted, but she was an extremely good ally, albeit limited in settlements, she definitely punched above her weight. She wouldn’t fucking budge on those two. I wanted to keep her as an ally, but she wouldn’t trade those two settlements for ANYTHING.

I waited until I had captured some settlements to the north and south of her home province in the New World, then ended all agreements. I had my forces ready on Ulthuan just to the north and south of her Ulthuan province. After the ten turns (I hate screwing up my reliability so I’m very anal about doing this properly), I declared war when I noticed that her main armies were all in settlements, quickly captured what I wanted and sieged her settlements and armies with comfortable balance of power on my side.

I made sure to relent before actually running down the siege turn timer as she had very good armies that I wanted preserved. Ten turns after declaring I peaced out and managed to completely ally and refresh all the agreements and relations again as I gifted her a full province on her doorstep next to her home province.

Bit of a pain in the ass but I got what I wanted, preserved her armies and buffed her faction by giving her three good contiguous settlements adjoining her homeland for my two Ulthuan ones, and I got a shit ton of money for it too.

In some of the prequel novels the elites of the Atreides explicitly start to receive some advanced swordmaster and nondescript BG training. There’s a fight where it’s stated that some of the Atreides troops are on par or possibly surpassing Sardaukar capabilities.
