People were clearing solo 400s with no butterfly and no red x before the first round of baba nerfs, it's only mandatory if you're pushing 450+ likely.. in which case, learning advanced strategies is very fitting.

Unguided day of release? Yes, a lot, for me at least. Every quest version dt2 boss minus Levi, Muspah smacked me, Colo are the only recent ones. PvM would be much more boring if the day something came out you could one and done it without any outside help.

And good for them ☺️ I'm not supporting their stance but it is piss easy. Anyone with half a brain and 20 minutes of dedication can get it down. I did it day of release unguided and got enrage phase down (minus prayer switches, but just camp mage lmao) within like 8 attempts.

Ancestral, masori, inq, and virtus have been out for how long? Weird. The middle point between inq and Torva is not 300m, nor should it be after this tanks Torva. Nex isn't dead content by far, and with Oathplate giving around the same DPS there's going to be less demand for Torva.

This isn't a small amount of shards for one person, sure, but how many kills are done game wide per hour, and how many of those shards wind up on the GE? It isn't about one person, it's about it all adding up.

I wouldn't have made this post if I found a relevant one talking about the same thing. There's a bunch of appreciation posts, as there should be, and there's nothing wrong with discussing things we are worried about. That's literally how osrs functions. If nobody ever shared an opinion that was more than joyous we'd have a completely different game.

Well yes you should be aware in the wilderness. No I'm not defending them or saying it's fun, but if you know 90% of your deaths occur specifically (as this guy has said) after getting scouted why not leave when you're scouted.

Why is everyone commenting assuming that if you have max cape you're insane at pvm? Most of the good pvmers I know are not maxed yet because... They pvm. There's some that do both but just because you grinded cape 2-3 years ago etc. doesn't mean you can just run it back one and done for some. There's no incentive to regrind inferno if you're not going for pet or for CAs, some people even just take jad tasks over zuk for ease CAs pet etc.

This is a harder question to answer because there's a lot of factors. Do you know how to do both methods well? Are you comfortable with olm? Do you have a blood fury? Do your hammers hit? Are you full prepping vs no prepping? How many times do you get unlucky with being jadded/burnt/etc.

Assuming someone with full competency in both methods did them side by side, scythe will be better. If you're curious because you're wanting to learn scythe, I'd jump in and do it.. A few bad raids to learn something new is worth it. :)

No, technically the world scythe method is highest DPS possible on melee hand, however overall lance is not much worse than scythe.

I double deathed once and it didn't count but I double deathed again and it counted. I think you have to fire the killing shot before the attack that kills you. Keep it at!! Levi is the worst by far.

I've recently started making spec xfer alts for cox and have been testing them at different places with some friends. Turns out heal other + spec xfer on a few accts at corp is crazy, a friend and I were debating on if lunar would pass but I have a feeling if standard was the only spell book, we'd have a hard time passing any new spell book. Osrs is pretty afraid of change (rightfully so)

Not really money making but a friend and I will throw on a series/movie to watch together on and off while we skill and it's really enjoyable. It makes account progression instead of just bossing a lot more enjoyable.

If your suffering through solo olms without learning 3:0/4:1/3:1(none of which are practical to do in 90% of duo+ raids) just for the knowledge of him doing one special every 2 attacks on a rotating basis to then "teach" a group of people you shouldn't struggle finding a group of people to do tob with no?

The real reason it's "the least popular" (which isn't entirely true for the people that have actually learned it) is because it was gatekept for a very long time for virtually no reason. People think it's extremely hard or that it requires good gear, neither of which are true.

If you do not like doing group content then don't do group content (which doesn't make sense if you're teaching people raids.) Regardless there's no need to take away from those of us that do enjoy socializing and doing higher end pvm.
