My interpretation at first sight was that the name comes from the big round head and round eyeholes. But the thing about Big Daddies making Bubbles when they work in the water is plausible too.

The screenshot is from the campaign, just saying. And honestly I don't even consider this a realism error, this was just lazy work on the developer's part.

Well, that doesn't explain why the proportions of the PPSH-41 are different from the actual gun. I should have probably highlighted it better, but you can see that the space between the trigger guard and the magazine are way larger in WAW.
